To expand the tournament to 16 teams, at the last moment, means extra CAF expenses and teams already qualified for the tournament will be miffed, surely. A lot of thing is wrong. Beyond late appointment of coaches and poor preparation. There was no proper scouting. You cant have all players scouted mainly from academies in Lagos and Abuja, this is a bad practice. If there was "late appointment of coaches" who was going to do the scouting? ...
