Re: BALOGUN OUTBURST: NFF Blames Covid for Payment Delays

ON THE OTHER HAND...

...lots of employees go unpaid for months and retirees don't get benefits they worked for all their lives. There should be an outcry over this without letting the NFF off the hook.

Re: Nigeria should learn from the USA

Thank you, TXJ. VE simply doesn't get it. Grassroots organization and a solid league (just well organized) will take you a long way. The USA is showing this right now. They have a deep pipeline of players to the point where they can beat Mexico A- Some of the guys on their supposed B team will actu...

Re: Nigeria should learn from the USA

You got it completely wrong IMO. The US is this successful because they have an organized home based league and grassroots structure. It is that simple. They now have enviable depth in quality and I expect the USA to get better and better Nigeria will never have a league like the MLS, so I dont kno...

Re: Should Nigeria Reconsider Olympic Participation?

👆🏿That’s sentimental nonsense. The only Olympic Games in which Nigeria really stepped up was the 1996 Olympic Games in which we won 6 medals, including 2 gold medals. I’m just as disappointed as the next guy but we must keep trying❗️ Cheers. SO YOU'RE SAYING... ...Nigeria should just continue to go...

Should Nigeria Reconsider Olympic Participation?

Nothing demonstrates the decline of standards in Nigeria in all aspects of life better than what’s taking place in Tokyo under the guise of the Olympics. Decades ago, Nigeria was sure to come home with a few medals even if they were mostly of the bronze or silver variety. The expectation was that as...

Not worth it. And some of them (not necessarily Blessing) would not even take the Covid shot.

Re: 10 Nigerian Athletes declared ineligible for Tokyo 2020

I am deeply troubled by the state of Nigeria. the straw that broke the camel's back was the suspension of the Athletes for not being tested....The kidnapping, the herdsmen crisis...I have tried to deal with that...but this suspension for something so simple....a simple administrative process. Befor...

Bell my brother, I don’t buy into sentimental arguments. I just try as best I can to deal with the facts as presented or available. Your post is sentimental. When you start saying things like “all because a coach asked for lunch money…” , I can’t take you seriously. Really? That’s what you got from...

Re: Taribo West slams Amaju Pinnicks comments

IN AGREEMENT WITH WEST HERE The NFF has no right to try to limit the movement of a free citizen. If they don't want Nigerian players to go to these "mushroom" countries, all they need do is develop the Nigerian league and they wouldn't have to force the players to stay. Failing that, they...

Re: Will a South American country ever win the WC again?

There is clearly a gap growing mainly due to globalization. All the money is flowing to the centre - Europe. The European leagues are getting richer and more powerful while South American leagues have regressed from the standard that created the likes of Pele, Zico, Maradona, Romario, Ronaldo etc. ...

Re: We need to hire a local coach

Not sure what the comparison is about but Africa and South America are on different planets when it comes to coaching. I’d even say the gulf in quality is even wider than it is in the national teams. South America has some of the biggest and most respected coaches in the world with a ‘depth chart’ ...
