elerineye: The way I read it is that this is simply a matter of process. It means that the Minister has acknowledged that he has no right to fire Ogunjobi but he has merely indicated that he will move to file charges. Now the ball, quite correctly goes to the board. The board must now decide what t...

As expected because of the voting bloc. In any case, I hope that he wins the one that matters -- the one awarded through CAF which has a fairer method.

I would settle for Enugu II, since he is the CE on the home front. I also would like a situation where the NFA/NFF is seperate from the domestic league, with the league running itself while the national football teams are assisted in their national engagements by the NFA/NFF. SSTAR: I am not in Nig...

Musa v FIFA: Would it have been different if in E-Guinea?

One wonders if the Minister's change of heart would have been different if the same scenario had happened in a different country such as Equatorial Guinea. I say this because I truly believe that certain elements influenced the successful FIFA leverage of the Minister. Here are elements that I felt ...

While Gotti's calculations are indeed impressive based on what information had been disclosed by the Minister pertaining to the charges, my take is that there are far more issues not made apparent to us. For instance, while there was talk about getting money from CAF and FIFA as well as the ministry...

Guys, don't be too quick to jump to conclusions here. The fact that the Minister announced that Odegbami has been dropped does not mean he would not be announced by the NFA board...just remeber that this was a compromise deal... From what I gathered from someone who spoke with Mathematical yesterda...

Odegbami has lost whatever respect and glory he had garnered on the field with this crass opportunism. Cannot fathom how a literate person like him can get involved in this razzmatazz. Shows that when free (GOVERNMENT) money is involved , some naijas like him will do anything, including assasinatio...

Do you see the slight of hand here? Didn't the temporary appointment of Odegbami get Ogunjobi out? How else could Ogunjobi have ended with a signed resignation letter in the hands of the Minister? NorthAfrican: I guarantee you that it was not the appointment of Odegbami that led to Ogunjobi's resig...

Well, well. Finally, the MInister bows. He could have done the right thing in the first place because media reports indicated that he was warned about all this even before the Zurich visit. However, I must say that I sense that this is a hodge-podge agreement and its only hope of standing is on Gala...

EII, here are 2 quotes from the sports minister that prove that not only was he right in his actions, but that FIFA was aware of them and did not object to them. " I want to say that Decree 101 is still in force and section 19 (2) gives the minister the prerogative to give directives which mus...

I have always said there will only be one winner and that will be the minister. From what Amos Adamu is saying, this will prove to be the case. Nigeria will not be banned, the minister will get his way, and the corrupt and inept people who ran the NFA will be out on their bums and facing prosecutio...
