Re: Broke NFF and NFF boss was in France on Tuesday.
According to score Nigeria KOC is saying the new coach will be announced today. He said it is between Finidi and Amuneke. According to his Twitter handle. What I don't understand is how are they able to afford the trip to Paris? How much is a trip to Paris for God’s sake? :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf...

Re: Congratulations to the Legend from Ajegunle???
Only one month separates us from a major WCQ and these idiots are still playing dilly-dally about appointing a coach...na siddonlook I dey. When i said they should have a ready replacement as early as January, some people said they should give that fatso some time to think about whether he will sig...

Re: Siasia interview
At a certain stage, I believe it was the 2008/9 season, Obasi was rated alongside Franck Ribery as the best player in the Bundesliga [/quote Obasi was Firminho’s strike/forward partner at TSG Hoffenheim. That guy is ridiculously talented but was hampered by bad injury. He was the most talented play...

Chinedu Ogbuke hmmm now that was a player - If only Injuries let am shine :( :( Apparently, Siasia ranks the guy very high. I just don't see it ooo. All I will state is that he was a good player but am not with Siasia's view of the guy. Wow I listened to the interview and knew Siasia was going to s...

Re: Former NFF President, Amaju Pinnick backs Finidi George for the Super Eagles job
That is as good as confirmed that Finidi will continue. If José Peseiro handled AFCON despite his disastrous performance in all matches before then, then it means Finidi will continue despite his mixed bag at friendlies. The sad thing is he won't have a water-tight contract or earn anything near ou...

Re: It is April 7th, the NFF still have not named a coach for the SE
They should name Finidi the coach. Appoint a solid backroom staff. They need to start preparing. Sout Africa will be coming to win in Nigeria. And it is doable. If the likes of Guinea Bissau can do. And the mighty Siera Leone can come back to tie a game 4-4 in NIgeria. South Africa will fancy their...

Re: Raphael Onyedika
I’m not a coach but after seeing that Onyedika guys play in the recent Friendlies Perseiro’s judgement as a coach and his ability to judge and recognize real talent became very very questionable to me. Onyedika is the closest thing to Mikel - seems very cerebral with his plays, keeps things simple w...

Re: SE v Benin WCQ moved to CIV
How can you have advantage when you don’t even have a damn coach -2 months to the game. It will be a miracle if we get 3 points out of the 6 that will be available in June over the two matches vs Benin and SA. In June it will be confirmed that Nigeria is officially out of the 2026 WC. The NFF are jo...

Re: HERVE RENARD ready for likes of Nigeria....can Nigeria wait? Can Nigeria pay?
It is highly unlikely Nigeria will qualify for the WC. No serious FA is hiring a coach in April. This is one point people keep missing here - the fact that this moronic NFF are waiting till April to appoint a permanent coach. just imagine the stupid logic behind that. It would be even worse if they...

A similar report is published on BrilaFM website. People here tend to disparage owngial all the time. But each time there reports end up being true.

Re: Overall good test games for Nigeria/NFF keep Finidi
Ohenhen couldn’t be more accurate. The NFF have no clue the depth of the whole this team/they are in. Perseiro is smart and knows this team will have a very very tough/slim chance of qualifying after almost having a heart attack on the sideline against SA at AFCON. This SE full strength or not, will...

Re: SE Result against Mali - a case of the lineup?
Nigeria 0 - 2 Mali International friendly; 27th March 2024 1) Sad game. Awaziem gifted Mali a goal with a careless pass across the defense. 2) We made too many backward passes and not enough attacking plays. 3) Finidi showed poor man management and made very late changes. (You can be sure some play...

Re: Nigeria vs Mali(0-2) FT
Finidi has issues with making subs. That’s a problem with Nigerian coaches that I have seen coach the SE except Siasia. That’s a big problem. Doesn’t seem like he will be a good candidate for the permanent position.

Simon had no business clattering into the goalie given the quality of the pass that was played to him. His poor touch unfortunately endangered him.

Re: Nigeria vs Ghana (2-1) Desser , Lookman FT
Eager to see how we do against Mali. I think they should be a tougher opponent than Ghana While Mali may be a better team than Ghana, the psychology for that game will be different versus the Ghana game which is a massive derby - Ghana will always play their hardest even in their worse form. Don’t ...

Re: FINIDI GEORGE.....Pressure, Opportunity, and Tomorrow
Make no mistake about it, Finidi and the authorities know that this is an auditioning weekend for Finidi. If he fails, he can kiss the job good bye.. That includes even maintaining the Chief Coach position. He will be replaced. Thus, he is at fever-pitch, shivering, and he knows very well that he w...
