Re: If an African Team had done what Spain did
If your watching the coverage in the US on NBC, you would think that Senegal was made up of thugs. They use terms like cultured left foot, clever when a player like Suarez dives but they use terms like naive, athletic etc when they speak of Senegal. That information does not stay in a vacuum instead...

Re: Barcelona kicks out another African
Barca is a tribal club almost like how many Kenyan teams were in the '70's, that's a choice they have made. Yaya Toure is easily a better player than that diver Busquets but they benched him because he was not Catalan with Yaya even saying that the coach would not even talk to him. Eto was vilified ...

Senegal tactically speaking
If you listened to some of the comentators, you would think that Uruguay are tactically years ahead of Senegal because of some of the stereotypes they hold. Yes Senegal did have one very rash challenge but so did Uruguay but Senegal are not schooled in the art of falling and rolling around like you ...

Re: Olympics 2012 SENEGAL 2 Vs URUGUAY 0 FT
A little history. I heard on NPR yesterday that at one time, there were actually MORE AFRICANS in South America than Europeans. I wonder what happened to them. I knew about Brazil and Argentina but I did not know that Africans were actually in the majority in many of these SA countries back in the ...

Best football match I've seen at this Olympics.. What a game!! :agree: :agree: :agree: :agree: I hope cheating Suarez does not put a sour taste into the game. The man seriously an Azz. Both him and Cavani are already causing problems.. The way two two are just makes me want to to believe, Some Urug...

Nothing special from the clips but he could be a good find and if he is, then he better have been born in Nigeria because he may opt for England.

Re: Sneijder: Euros more difficult than World Cup (no Africa
The Euro groups are harder to navigate because the truth is most of the teams are better than the lower seeds in the world cup. The world cup get's tougher after the group stages but I have to agree, the world cup does have more weaker teams in the early stages.

Song the man
I have to say that Song rarely gets enough credit as arguably the best defensive midfielder in the EPL. The guy has been crucial to Arsenal as they have climbed up the table. His atrubutes are hard to ignore. If you ask RVP about his goals, I think Song would be the first name RVP would mention, the...

Re: CAN 2012: ELEPHANTS' NEST
My hope is that this set of Elephants fullfills their potential, they have done for African more that I can state by being great ambasadors and opening up opportunities for players yet to come. This team is probably the best they have had in a tactical point of view, yes they do not play the open at...

Re: AFRICAN FOOTBALL HAS REGRESSED
African football was never really any better. We all know about the Nigerian 94/98 teams, the Cameroun '90 team and the resent Ghana and Ivory Coast teams. The problem is that we have a good but tactically deficient african teams at world cups. No really Nigeria should have lost to Italy in the Quat...

Re: Watch cup of nations highlights
These may be minnows but all the teams had a chance to Qualify. I like many would have liked Nigeria at both the world cup and nations cup but they do not have a team worth singing about. Ivory Coast may not win the tournament but they do what's necessary to Qualify, so does Ghana which are to me th...

Re: Oliech better than Drogba in Castrol, voted best in Auxe
Organization is what we have lacked for soo long. The Kenyan under 23 team just played 2 friendlies against Nations Cup teams and played better than them, these are just friendlies but Nigeria should be ready for a team that plays ball on the carpet and has some star players. Oliech, Mariga and Muga...

Re: Why is Song Alex not highly rated in the EPL?
Song is a top 2 defensive player in the EPL and he would start for all, I repeat ALL African teams including the Ivorian team. Let's get honest here, Maradona was the top player in the world in his hayday played in 4 world cups and won one Mundial, at Barcelona he won 2 cups but never the league, at...

Re: CECAFA: As expected , Kenya soundly defeats Ethiopia team
Cecafa is a prep tournament for Kenya this year, the team will play eratically because Kimanzi is trying to change the system and also give some younger players some experience. Brian Mandela is a great addition to the central defence and this gives him and a few others a chance to get better. Again...

To be honest Frimpong is not that good, he has no passing range, guys here talk about Mikel, Frimpong is not even a poor man's Mikel. I don't think he can get into the Ghana starting line-up

not too concerned about this score, many Kenyan's including me are looking forward to next year that's when we will have to apply the new formation expecially in midfield where the coach is making drastic changes to how the team plays. This tournament is an opportunity for fringe players to make an ...

Re: Gary Speed was gay and Sun was going out him
So what he was gay or not, someone passed away and if I choose to remember Speed the player, that's okay.
Whether gay or not he was a human being, don't get caught up with someones lifestyle especially since he did not ask you to be part of it.

Re: Earlier today Malawi was leading Kenya 2-0...
I hope Kenya does not do what we always do by signing a no-name European to start all over. Kimanzi is the best coach for Kenya right now and he was just given the job, he is trying to change how we play which is not easy, so we need the next few months to get more of our overseas players intergrate...
