Re: Jonathan’s Two Year Ban On Football: Matters Arising
Why do people with so little information always feel the need to speak up? A FIFA ban is a maximum of two years beginning from the day the offence took place. Unless something else happens we are very much in frame for 2014. By the way, the longest FIFA has ever banned anyone for 'government interf...

Re: TEAM USA in Round Of 10
America's victory has nothing to do with luck. America had a better team and deserves to win. The U.S. team is a well organized team and this showed in their play. Kudos to USA!!! USA! USA!! USA!!! Going all the way to the finals. The americans create their luck, but the luck will soon run out.

Re: Slovenia 0-1 England. USA 0-0 Algeria
How did you come to the conclusion that Mate is Nigerian? The US is getting shafted consistently. Sorry, but I have to believe that it is a subconscious bias, with officials not giving us the benefit of the doubt. I guess that is the price to be paid for being the most powerful country in the world....

Re: Largerback’s Super Eagle: Before Embarrassment Comes
I know he will laugh his head off when he reads this. Why do yall think he writes for the highest bidder? I know him well. He would have been a millionaire by now if he did. What does Atiku and Ibori have to with a commentary on soccer? Just address the issues the man raised and forget his politics....

Largerback’s Super Eagle: Before Embarrassment Comes
By Sunny Ofili Let us be honest, these Eagles stink! I mean the Super Eagles. The Nigerian national soccer team stink. They stink so much they stunk up the air like rotten eggs at Wattens, Austria when they took on the Saudi National team yesterday. I have never watched a worse Nigerian side. When ...

Re: Nigeria Vs Tunisia Live On NTA For U.S. Viewers
NTA just lost its feed due to bad signal so there are showing Abuja landmarks.
It just came back on again. We are playing very defensive so far with only one man upfront.

Matches like this should be played in a big stadium (NSL or NSA) where you can get 40-60,000 and charge an average of N3,000 for tickets. Lagos and Abuja are not in Delta State! The Delta State government organized the match so Deltans can watch their native son. Th NFA can organize their own testi...

Re: Delta Govr names stadium after Jay Jay Okocha
It is Ogwashi-Uku stadium. Also, it does not matter how many league matches are played there. Okocha is a son of Ogwashi-Uku and there is no better way to honor him than have a stadium named after him in his home town. Word!! Which one be Ogwashi Ukwu stadium? How many league matches are played at t...

Unless, Etoo was attacked first by the journalist, I see no justification for what happened. According to this article, the Cameroonian journalists walked out of the press conference. Etoo launched into an abusive verbal tirade, calling the press *kindpeople* etc etc. Etoo ran into another journali...
