Re: 10 Nigerian Athletes declared ineligible for Tokyo 2020

I am deeply troubled by the state of Nigeria. the straw that broke the camel's back was the suspension of the Athletes for not being tested....The kidnapping, the herdsmen crisis...I have tried to deal with that...but this suspension for something so simple....a simple administrative process. Befor...

That name Billat sounds very familiar.

I think he played against Nigeria not too long ago?

But what does a team on the rise mean?

I thought DRC were the team on the rise?

Even Sudan before them, what happened to Sudan?

Re: LIBYA vs NIGERIA 2-3

I must say I didn't know about that rule. So as long as you are behind the onside player (Musa), you are not offside? Makes sense. Based on our wrong interpretation of the rule, Ighalo was definitely offside, but it is NOT the right interpretation. Is the offside rule that difficult  ...

It should do. It is expanded to 24 teams. 8 more spaces up for grabs. It is brilliant for African football.
I didn't even realize. Woah. This is going to be something.

I think a point from 6 is good enough to qualify.

I don't mean mathematically, but realistically. If we can't get 1 point from six (while playing Seychelles at home), then I don't think we would do much in Cameroon anyway.

Re: CONGRATS TO ROHR & SE. Afcon here we come

Missing AFCONs the way we have been missing them is a crime. Heads should have rolled. I don't even know what AFCON REALLY feels like right now. I remember there used to be a very strong rhythm to this thing, you would go into the tournament, you would come out, you would 'feel' your position, wheth...

Re: Apologies to Ighalo

A strikers worth is based on his consistency. NOBODY was wrong to criticise him. An inconsistent striker should ALWAYS be criticised and Ighalo was VERY VERY VERY inconsistent. If we didn't criticise him, we would be mental patients. I hope he goes on to establish himself now, and we will support him.

Re: LIBYA vs NIGERIA 2-2

Good win. But we have to be a bit timely with our subs. Something he has to work on. Have had issues since game one. Rohr philosophy is that there could be an injury or red card... So he leaves the substitution until very very late. The chance that we will be punished when we are lacking in a depar...

Re: LIBYA vs NIGERIA 2-3

I came in watching the game at the 26th minute match. The game was so relaxed and pedestrian, like a stroll in the beach. I was panicking and terrified. Nigeria controlling possession effortlessly? I had just woken up, so I wasn't sure what dimension I was inhabiting. Then we conceded, 2-1 and the t...

It's not about excluding some countries from bidding but setting a minimum standard for the quality of stadiums, pitches, transportation, hotels etc. The detailed specifications can be set out clearly during the bidding process. Only countries that demonstrate they can meet those specifications in ...

Re: OK..can someone unconfuse me from this Afcon table thing

I still think that what happened with Chad was a mess. Chad should have received far more punishment. You cannot derail the balance in a group, because of lack of foresight. Is every African country really expected to approach a group, as if one member will be absent at a later date? Seems logical, ...

Re: Comparison of average wages in different football league

The EPL is NOT the best league in the world. but look at the massive difference in wages. The EPL is the best marketed, has the best commercial deals, has the best overall financial structure. When some of our player are on their way down the EPL pecking order, rather than cast their net wide, and ...

Re: Comparison of average wages in different football league

Is Nigeria listed at no 34 or is it lower? The Daily Mail logo is obscuring the number. The gap in pay between nos 33 and 34 is huge, suggesting there are other leagues in between. And where is the Chinese league in all this? You are right. http://i.imgur.com/BHY4RPj.png Chinese Super League is 15t...
