Re: We are Witnessing a WATERSHED for the Respect of the AFCON....
I think the issue is that it's every two years. After all the Asian Cup is also in january but is every four years. So if you sign a player for 4 years, you'll be without them for a month inside the season twice over the course of the contract. However, i don't really have much sympathy for the club...

Re: Amidst the celebrations...
Amidst the cheer, I just want to point out that this is how Europe keeps winning world cups. Even in this tournament which was wide open, England still made it to the final 4 because they had an extremly easy draw. They had this draw because the FIFA ranking system determined that their matches aga...

Re: CAF needs to come up with an African soccer strategy
If we get 9 spots. I think it will be a great idea to go into a 12 team final qualification league format. This way every one will play each other. Teams will be better prepared if they play more games. 1. After three rounds of two legs matches. We get our 12 teams that will take part in the league...

No need to go that far.
He should come and tell us why a team with players who play in MLS, UAE and for Hull City made it through.

Re: GOING FORWARD WHICH PLAYERS GET DROPPED
I want players at Real Madrid, Bayern, Juventus, ATLECTICO, Chelsea, Arsenal, man utd, Bayern, man city, Porto playing week in and out at CL, La Liga etc to be suggested if you want to see serious progress because as long as we keep having our boys at backwater clubs then there’s no chance How many...

VE all those players you mentioned are just another BACKWATER league guys that wouldn’t make any difference at this time. before suggesting for newer players, make sure they’re upgrade on the previous ones and not just list of players. QUALITY over QUANTITY where do the swedish players play; i coul...

Re: Moving the Nations Cup was a mistake
where is the supporting evidence/data? 1994 is not good enough...give us more Senegal went all the way to the finals in 2002 and did well at the WC. What did Cameroon (winners) and Nigeria (3rd) do though? We can even discount Nigeria since the run up- post-Afcon and pre-world cup- was shambolic. 2...

Re: Rohr needs to f**k right off after this impotent effort
The Nigeria's Super Eagles have a DNA and right now we have been stripped of that DNA. The DNA of the Nigeria Super Eagles is to play without fear and attack. We are not cowards and we are not weaklings. We believe in ourselves and we fight all the way. We may lose 5-4 or win 4-3 but we play withou...

Re: Stoke City sign Etebo
It’s a good move. All things being equal there isn’t much difference between the bottom half of premiership and like the top 10 of the championship. It’s probably a slight step up in level of club from Feirense or Las Palmas. It’s a club that will be expected to do well not just make up the numbers....

And Collymore is not a tom? Who shags white women? Who couldn’t even control himself in public and smacked his celeb gf? Certainly not Wright? Re: With Saudi Arabia, why 48 teams in the World Cup?
I’ve always felt that the qualifiers should be opened up. Do a playoff of say the bottom 40 teams to get to 180. 30 groups of 6 teams. Winners qualify. Runners up playoff for the remaining 15 spots. 45 teams as no doubt the United teams will get automatic qualification. 45+3= 48. -I think it would g...

Re: I don't understand how 200 Russians could beat up thousa
Lol some people take their hatred of the U.K. To such an extent that they will defend the indefensible. Given that known UK hooligans have had their passports seized before every major tournament since 2000, I wonder which hooligans tried to fight the Russians. Hooliganism is more of a problem with ...

Lol, they have never seen peps style of play before. Like Swansea weren't doing barca lite in 2012 under Rodgers. Let's see what pep does when he doesn't have the best team or the ability to easily weaken his rivals. Upon all his tactics When it came down to it, he was undone by better players (Rona...

Lol, some people have way too much time on their hands. I don't know about other times but today they were 2-0 down and 4-1 down. Not much for them to celebrate. What about the winner against Palace.

Re: Lagerbeer just qualified Iceland for Euro 2016
Ignoring the Argentina match, it was bad luck and players not coming correct that did us in 2010. Against Greece, we played some good football and even had a bit of the swagger we used to have back in the day up until Kaita got sent off, then everything collapsed and we didn't have enough to come b...

Ok but. You go to joburg itself, the people at the hotels themselves tell you not to go to certain places or be careful. I am not going to boycott the World cup. There is racism every where. There is racism here in the US and also in the Uk. I am not going to single out Russia. If a player is racially abused in the crowd in the UK or USA as Frimpong was, rest assured someone will pay, it won't be ignored like that. T...
