Re: TOO MANY AFRICANS PLAYING FOR FRANCE
France has a better academy for training footballers. 5 of Moroccan players came out of the academy that is France, the same academy produced Mpabbe. Same products of such academies that lost to Senegal in 2002. France benefits from the fact that the Africans don't come from one single country. Jus...

I know this discussion cannot happen without the political angle to it. In 1998, the French team adopted the Black-Blanc-Beur mantra.Zidane, who led France ... was a Beur. This team was profoundly criticized by then Jean Marie LePen. LePen was Trump in France ... Now, the world is in the middle of ...

If it were an African team, they would say the defender got the ball -- and he did! These people are stinkingly unfair. The calls they have been making in this knock-out stage only refute the explanation given to deny Nigeria and Senegal their penalty calls.

Re: Africa so far: 1 Win 5 Loses; 3 Goals
South American players are scattered globally and face tougher travel schedules than African players yet look at how well they do at the WC. African footy is a reflection of the continent itself . Spot On!!!! We keep making unreasonable excuses for our failures South Americans themselves come from ...

We need more African coaches. End of. Our problems stems from POVERTY Even the best African coach will not win Zilch with the best African team Until we get our economic life in order, our football will continue to fail Cliches! Re: Grp H (Senegal 0 vs Colombia 1)-(Japan 0 v Poland 1) FT
Senegal did not do this, Senegal did not do that! What about the %$#@^& referee's calls. These matches are so close, it is unfair when you are denied a penalty that you earned legitimately. Senegal played well today. They were better than the Colombians. Quadrado could not even make any move. The fact once the penalty was denied, Colombia knew they could steal the game. They too knew it was a penalty. Let's stop parroting the nonsense they speak about African football. These guys know they can't compete squarely against us so they cheat.

Re: Messi is nothing but a club footballer
He is so overrated! I would not put him in the top 20 players ever. Compare Messi to George Weah, Marco Van Basten and others. He is hyped up by the fake news media in the interest of marketing dollars. Didn't you see how he was struggling against Nigeria's average defenders?

Nigeria still has an unbalanced midfield. Only Mikel can hold the ball; the touches of the rest leaves much to be desired. Nigeria won't go anywhere with a mediocre midfield.

Re: Snoop Dog - Ghana DNQ no good O! WC go sweet with SE O!
You had to be there to get beaten. Ghana was beaten by the worst team in the tournament. They still have a better show at the world cup than Nigeria. you wished you had their midfield! And Asamoah Gyan would not have missed these sitters. Ghana's not qualifying for the world has nothing to with the...

Why did some of you expect Ighalo to hit on those chances? If it were Musa, that would be understandable. Ighalo is not sharp but other better players have also missed glaring chances? I cannot believe Africans apologizing for this robbery. Gary Lineker, Alexi Lalas and these white supremacist will ...

We missed a few types of players in the WC..but we also had some GAINS. Gains. 1. Uzoho - the sky is the limit, 100% credit to Rohr for keeping faith and building him up 2. Tyrone Ebuehi - he will come good 3.Etebo - has rough edges but will come good 4.Idowu ( his first WC ) and he will also come ...

Re: Ighalo post match comments
I hope the FA asks questions in public about the high boot that didn't get called and an explanation for the handball. If VAR is to be trusted, then it needs to be applied evenly. He watched the VAR and concluded it wasn't a pk. In a close game, there will be missed calls. That is part of the game....

Re: Ighalo post match comments
The African mindset is sometimes puzzling. Nigeria was robbed. You can twist it any how you want. In the game between Iran and Portugal, Iran got a penalty from almost same handling as the Argentine. These people need us to window dress their stupid world cup that they only want a European or Latin ...

Re: Mali 1-2 Serbia AET
In this game Mali was better but they adopted the wrong tactics. Sometimes they held on the ball for too long or they over-elaborated. Their defending was also shaky in some instances. That they received a red card is attributable to tactics. Then they wasted so much time arguing with some Latin Am...
