Re: Moffi hangs!!

A natural baller with finishing boots. Likely to take Musa's shirt in the medium term. Decent backup for Osimhen, real gem of a player.

Re: Which midfielders should make the World cup?

Rohr recruits his m/f players based on his tactics. His formation is to have the power play in the m/f to be anchored by dynamic wingers who can cut in from the flanks and dimension the attacking play. This is complimented with full backs, as we saw in Jamiu Collins bombing forward to cause havoc in...

Re: Thank you **** it is time to go

These are the WCQ and the objective of every coach is to secure maximum points to qualify. The football doesn't have to be pretty and aesthetic to the eye. 2 games and 6 points in the bag is job done for Rohr. He can worry about the finer points when he has months to camp his players before the main...

But na near post na. If the CV player scored at the far post then no contest
In fairness it was a well taken goal. Having beaten the offside trap he had time to pick his spot.

Re: Rohr: I’m not scared of Eagles sack

The real bone of contention hasn't been the results but the performances. Our exhilarating attacking and creative play has been replaced with a style of play that most fans find unpalatable.. since you cannot argue against the results, (which have been better than the vast majority of SE coaches) y...

Even with our full squad Cape Verde are no push overs. If we get a draw away it will be a decent result.

Re: Nigeria Goes Down Fighting But Musa Approaches 100 [REPO

Vienna, Austria -- Nigeria went down 0-1 to Cameroon in an international friendly before 1,000 estimated attendance. Nigeria, debuting four players, never really got off the low gear until Cameroon stung with the only goal after 36 minutes had gone by. The goal was a 25 yard low bolt from Anguissa ...

Re: What now for Iwobi?

I wouldn't be too quick to write him off. Iwobi's performances in the national team have been a shade better than his club form, as he seems to play with a bit more freedom and licence to express himself in the national set up. Bearing in mind that Iwobi grew up as an Arsenal Academy player. He has ...

Re: Arsenal are being linked with Paul Onuachu,

Honestly he doesn't strike me as an Arsenal type player. Would be a big step up for him from Genk tho. So explain to us how Arsenal type of player look like? Clubs have their own peculiar DNA. Paul is the kind of player Tony Pulis would have snapped up for Stoke City back in the day without even th...

Form is temporary.. Whoever is firing on all cylinders gets the nod on match day.

The competition for places is healthy. It causes players to raise their game. Look at Paul O. The guy knew he had to bring his A game and deliver.

Yeah...his case is a very difficult one, unfortunately. He would have been a 'great to have' in the SE squad. All the best to the lad! Rohr confirmed that Ehizibue is cannot play for us because he'll lose his Dutch passport. Well, we wish him luck. :thumb: What's the situation precisely? Dual citiz...

Good interview and equally good questions.

With the attacking/creative m/f slot still unresolved and Rohr not wanting to experiment with new players, it remains to be seen what chances the likes of Ademola Lookman, Ejaria and Olise will get to join the squad.

Re: Andrew Abiola Omobamidele

I watched Norwich yesterday and observed a Nigerian centre-back play an excellent and assured game. Andrew is a 19 year old, 6'4. and very skillful defender who can add value to the SE. Although he stood out aerially with some impressive positioning and strong clearances from crosses and set pieces...
