Re: Arsenal vs Spurs 1-0 (HT)

funny thing. after all the wrangling over wages in 2007-08, Flamini had to force himself to pick up a one-year deal at Milan at drastically-reduced wages. as though that wasn't bad enough, he's now back at Arsenal... probably on the same salary as Park Chu Young

Bayern is now so strong and deep that they can rotate most of their line-up without much worry, and cruise through league matches with their second string

Re: Premiership players released from contracts

With their whole truckload of 'EPL veterans' on ridiculous wages tagging along with them down to Championship, QPR are only able to get rid of Tal Ben-Haim and DJ Campbell ?! Arsenal might as well consider Mark Schwarzer as a back-up, though he might well be good enough to be a first-choice... Just...

How is WBA losing? :???:

Osaze loses, and this will be the end in the EPL for him. Where next? France? Russia? Ukraine?

Twill be interesting.
Osaze's current benching and imminent departure on a free - It's to WBA's detriment.

if Dortmund win, Lahm and Schweinsteiger would have collected enough consolation medals in the past decade for both club and country, to be able to build bronze statues of themselves with silver plating.

Re: your take on PFA team of the year

your notable exclusions are spot on, but then again, those who don't play for big clubs or England are disadvantaged.

De Gea < Mignolet (Sunderland), Llloris (Spurs), Al-Habsi (Wigan)
Ferdinand < Dawson (Spurs), Carragher of 2013 (Liverpool), the Stoke defence

Re: Will Guardiola give tips to his future employer?

Heynckes doesn't need insider advice. Based on the Bayern games I've watched since he took over, I think Heynckes is tactically astute and well able to adapt his team to whichever style they face. Besides, Bayern is already solid at every position.
