Re: 10 lessons we can learn from the loss to Mali
By now, the NFF should have published their shortlist. It should look like this: Herve Renard Jose Mourinho Jurgen Klopp Pep Guadiola Joachim Lowe Thomas Tuchel Marcelo Bielsa Diego Simeone Is this some form of comic relief? Or are serious about this? Am confused! We need a world class coach. That ...

Re: How do you blame Finidi for this?
Dessers played against Ghana and was terribly wasteful in front of goal. Finidi must take the blame for fielding him against Mali.

Re: 10 lessons we can learn from the loss to Mali
Herve Renard and Finidi George sounds like a good combination to me. President Tinubu just needs to summon a consortium of Dangote, Adenuga, Otedola, Rabiu, Alakija, Elemulu, Ibeto, etc to Aso Rock and get them to be responsible for the coaches’ salaries. The same Herve Renard that won an Afcon by ...

10 lessons we can learn from the loss to Mali
[1] First of all, friendlies are there to try out a few things and learn lessons. In that regard, this game has shown us a few things, which for me are far more important than the result [2] One matter this game has settled is all this local coach talk,. After the Ghana game, some makeshift commenta...

We need two of each for a major competition like the World Cup.

Re: 10 observations I would like to make of the Ghana game so far
[1] We Nigerians have the knack of pressing the self-destruct button repeatedly [2] Our football is on the doldrums and we desperately need a world class coach to come and steady the ship [3] My people know that but alas, they would rather go for a coach who will destroy things [4] This Awalokan syn...

Re: 10 observations I would like to make of the Ghana game so far
I find it perplexing that Nigerians are happy to be dependent on imports for all their consumer needs, they prefer to go on holiday in Dubai than in the country, they seldom patronise local products like Innoson, they throw lavish parties in places like Qatar and the Caribbean while our local hospit...

Re: Brazil’s victory over England puts things into perspective for me regarding the Super Eagles
Do we have two teenage kids in the local league of the quality of Odiah and Babayaro, who can lockdown the fullback positions? Ayo, How much do you know about the local league? If you did, you may know that there are players emerging on a conveyor belt. European scouts know that already and that is...

Re: Brazil’s victory over England puts things into perspective for me regarding the Super Eagles
We still have a long way to go when it comes to keeping possession, closing down as a team, being creative in the last third and launching swift counter attacks. We showed some improvement against Ghana but can we do that in a high tempo match?

Re: Brazil’s victory over England puts things into perspective for me regarding the Super Eagles
[1] We need Olise or Ebere to playmake. Someone who can run with the ball is key [2] Osayi-Samuel and Onyemaechi were nowhere near good enough as fullbacks [3] Ndidi and Onyeka are both anchormen. One has to make way for a box-to-box midfielder [4] Our transition from defence to attack tales too lon...

Re: FINIDI GEORGE: He has Gumption.....
If Finidi had half of the clout Enugu II is accrediting him with here, we would have seen it when Ghana was reduced to 10 men. He would have taken off Ndidi or Onyeka and brought on someone like Dele-Bashiru to give us an attacking edge the Ghanaians would have had no answer to!

Brazil’s victory over England puts things into perspective for me regarding the Super Eagles
[1] Nigerians are still savouring the improved display of the Super Eagles against the Black Stars on Friday [2] In the first half of that game, we managed to keep possession of the ball and knock it around a little. We have not done that in a long while [3] Maybe had Victor Osimhen been playing we ...

Re: 10 observations I would like to make of the Ghana game so far
A local Nigerian coach guarantees corruption and political interference 100% !!! It should be an absolute no, no! Some of us have been around the NFF long enough to know what happens! We appoint a local coach at our peril! But we know the self appointed Contributing Editor for CE We know the people...
