Re: wetin ghana do the CAR coach?

Because Ghana played rubbish against his team and won. I was hoping they beat us the moment they went ahead. We really didn’t deserve the win. It will soon be a year since Chris Hughton took over and the team is still not gelling . They struggle to string passes together and create chances. When th...

Re: Which country has historically produced the most fearsome strikers?

An interesting question if you ask about the African country.

Nigeria and Cameroun.

North Africans tend to play some kind of false 9.

Not really sure actually.

Re: Spanish FA President Under Pressure to Resign After Kissing Female Player

I played high school football (American football) and if you see some of the things our coaches said and did, these Gen Z weaklings would scream abuse. I'm sorry but sports culture is riddled with coaches doing things like pushing, yelling, making fun of and even harassing players, we took it in th...

Re: Three "Nigerians" starting for Ireland against France...

Ireland are definitely tapping into Naija (diaspora) kids in sports.

I don't know if this is a deliberate policy though but look at their age grade football teams as well as athletics, there is something interesting being done there.

Re: Spanish FA President Under Pressure to Resign After Kissing Female Player

NONE OF THIS WOULD HAPPEN WITH AUTONOMOUS FEMALE & MALE FIFA's Please split FIFA up and let each go their independent way. Each can thrive without being an appendage of the other. In the long run there will be no loser here and problems like this will be avoided. Anticipating someone asking if ...

Re: I called this penalty against SF in the stadium lol

I guess since VAR overturned a similar penalty against Ajibade in the 1st half, they didn't want to appear to be favouring us. Had the English one been given, then surely this one would have been as well. I remember the same commentator that was surprised ours was overturned then said " it's a...

Re: Women's World Cup 2023

So guys, who do you want to win this thing now we and all other African teams are out, including Jamaica ? I’m talking about sentiment here, not punditry. I know you ABE guys are ever present, but consider this: I want England to win it for one simple, selfish reason: Nigeria. We are the only count...

Guy, the most obvious reason for those misses is pressure. Let’s not act as if the majority of human beings have nerves of steel. Not true. You've said it all sir. You simply cannot replicate game time pressure during practice. Chances are she has never ballooned a penalty over the bar before durin...

Re: 10 things that need to happen if we are to beat England

I said that refereeing would be crucial and it was: 1) How the ref gave that penalty against Ajibade is beyond me. Without VAR an unjust penalty would have been given against Nigeria 🇳🇬 (plus the England FK that led to the decision was never a FK as Ayinde cleanly won the ball from Lauren James). 2...

Re: Women's World Cup 2023

The way we just lost to England cannot be excused - we lacked believers I disagree, we needed believers to douse England's fire from the first minute to the last and we had them in abundance. Apart from Morocco, I can't even see any other African men's team that can play in such a disciplined manne...

Re: England 0-0 Nigeria: (FIFA Women World Cup )FT

We had to continue to play that tight disciplined game, even with a woman down, England are dangerous given any decent space to pass and move. Their women can run and run and apart from Rasheedat, Falcons were desperately struggling by second half of extra time. Playing a disciplined game and attac...

The women did incredibly well abeg, can you believe the high England were on after beating China 6-1 and what that would do to their opponents? A lot of other teams would have just folded away and hung on for dear life from the first minute. We needed to stand up to England and we did it perfectly w...

UK Cybereagles, avoid the English press until after the game

Just a word of warning if you don't want to raise your BP, don't bother reading any England Nigeria articles or listening to TalkSports or 5Live.

Just accept that it is what it is with England and the support they give their football teams.

Don't expect Eni Aluko to be a voice of reason either.

I don't care if 100 things happens but we aren't beating England! Let take that beating like a man and move on! Round of 16 is usually our strength at the WC! I disagree, if we cut out the silly mistakes, we can beat England. They are not invincible, we are not China. Having said that, if we don't ...

Re: Ireland 0-0 Nigeria: (FIFA Women World Cup )FT

My main worry is with Ayinde and her poor technique of shielding the ball in the middle of the pitch. A swipe here and a toe poke there and England are immediately on the front foot.

England will be running around like crazy from minute one, our women need to match that energy or else..
