Re: Africa is not good at football
Africa isn't good at modern football. Atlas Lions is made up of players who grew and learned their football in Europe. Starting with the coach Regragui who was born in Paris. Amrabat was born in Utrecht. And so forth. Many can't speak Arabic or any Berber dialect. Football-wise Morocco is a Europea...

Re: CAF Women's Young Players of the Year. Two Naija
Don’t know why you say ‘coerced’. It’s another of those views that suggests we Africans don’t have a mind of our own, or no expertise or are not capable of taking an independent stand. Intersex issue is a complex one and it causes great concern with no easy answers. Intersex athletes are clearly at...

Re: CAF Women's Young Players of the Year. Two Naija
CAF has now been coerced into asking Intersex players to reduce testosterone in order to be eligible. As a result, Barbara Banda of Zambia has been sidelined from AWCON. The next one to be sanctioned might be Clara Luvanga of Tanzania, pictured here in the middle https://cdn.tanzaniaweb.com/imagelib...

Re: Russia banned from all sports - will miss 2022 WC
While some people are still reading conspiracy theories, more Russian athletes have come forward to blame their own officials for this fiasco. Mariya Lasitskene , former world high jump champion, puts the blame squarely on Russian officials "Have we done an internal investigation? Who was punis...

Re: Russia banned from all sports - will miss 2022 WC
If the ban is based one the old charges, then I think this ban is excessive and geo politically motivated. Its not based on old charges. In fact after state sponsored doping was discovered. Russia was given a get out of jail card. All they had to do was submit their testing data. Instead they manip...

Re: Russia banned from all sports - will miss 2022 WC
You think the Russians are fickle and don't recognise the silly politics being played out. The love of mother Russia will not make them miss anything, this is where patriotism comes to the fore. The russians who believe that this is a global conspiracy against russia are well and truly brainwashed....

Re: Russia banned from all sports - will miss 2022 WC
From what I am reading, russia could still be allowed to play in the WC. However they will not be allowed to call themselves Russia or make official use of the russian flag. Anything is possible at this point. If this happens however, I am sure putin will ensure that the russian media still refers ...

Re: FIFA NEEDS TO STOP SENDING TEAMS HOME AFTER 3 GAMES AT W
I agree with the OP. I've said this before. My opinion: There should be a longer league stage and a much shorter knockout stage. Instead of groups of 4 teams, there should be groups of 8 teams. There is no point having a team knocked out of contention after 2 games. Here in the states for example, t...

Just watched the highlights. Two were own goals and one was a powerful shot from point blank range. How the heck can the goalkeeper be blamed for any of those goals?Cellular wrote:This our Keeper is at fault for 2 of the goals.

He is no better than Hayatou Confederation of African Football (CAF) president, Ahmad Ahmad has been accused of corruption and abuse of office, in what could potentially be the latest scandal to rock the football world. Re: 7 yrs ago French secret plan to reduce minorities in tea
The Dutch succeeded in their plan. There was a time about 15 years ago when it looked like the entire Dutch starting XI was going to be black. They had Seedorf, Reiziger, Davids, Kluivert, Bogarde, Winter...............Kluivert even predicted as much. Then there was a major bustup in the Dutch camp ...

Re: African countries need to figure out why they lose talen
In fact African is gaining talent they did not develop. Many players playing for African teams today learned their craft in Europe. Had they or their parents remained in Africa, there talents would have gone to waste. Some of them would have been among those risking their life to cross the Mediterra...

The interviewer seems to have a better idea about why African football is lagging. It is because of our culture of corruption and incompetence. The people running our federations are utterly corrupt and useless. I mean for petes sake we had Hayatou as CAF chairman for 20 years. It will take forever...
