Re: our Kele and Ndidi vs our Osimhen

Kelechi can definitely be the answer to our creative midfield dilemma, he was superb today playing the #10 role for Leicester and his assist for their second goal was equally as sublime. I reckon he can grow into that type of player and role for the NT

Osimhen scores,

Nacho and Osimhen are balling, that's enough for me as I'm taking no sides on this one :taunt:

Awoniyi, Moffi and Nacho are ahead of Osimhen right now truth be told... no doubt Osimhen will remain the # 1 man in the SE... but he badly needs competition

Re: Cybereagles has an obligation to review that goal 10 times

Reminds me of one of our away qualifier games to Ethiopia under Keshi...Not sure if it was for Afcon or the WC, but I do recall how we were really outplayed by the Ethiopians in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopians had a legit claim to a goal that crossed the line and wrongly ruled off... Re: IF a Nigerian was the current SE coach he would have been fired

I do not get some of you guys. Why have sentiments towards a coach? That is one of the highest turnover jobs on this planet. We've let many managers go and we've won AFCON . qualified for WCs etc Chelsea , Real etc do change managers and they win big...instead you people are promoting mediocrity . ...

Re: IF a Nigerian was the current SE coach he would have been fired

I see nothing wrong in letting him go right now, we let Amodu go twice and also Philip troussier. Why should **** get special treatment Those were wrong decisions. We shouldn't make more wrong decisions. In BPs world of logic, many wrongs equal a right... Imagine pushing for a coach to be fired rig...

Re: IF a Nigerian was the current SE coach he would have been fired

A long long time ago. Amodu qualified us 2ce the WC in 2002 and 2010 . won Silver , 2 Bronzes at AFCON.. never lost a WCq... today we are celebrating the victories over the almighty CAPE VERDE...whereas AMODU was beating the crap out of ghana etc to qualify for the worldcup...winning home and away ...

Brilliant dig up. Lowest point of many low points of VE’s CE tenure. BP how is this different from your down right obvious disdain from whatever the SE does currently. Okereke just scored a great goal, went on a Brillant solo run and bagged a goal for Venezia, Venezia is currently leading Empoli by 2 unreplied goals

Re: My 8 take aways after Cape Verde and Liberia

What did you guys make of Omeruo? For me, he was very poor. Our central defence is in serious need of upgrading. Apart from Ekong (who I believe is ‘just OK’), I am not convinced that Balogun, Ajayi, Omeruo, Ozone and to a slightly lesser extent, Awaziem are up to it. For starters, their long balls...

Re: Awoniyi: Time to make a case for him?

I relish a Kele/Awoniyi combo like in their U17 world cup days, the duo had a terrific partnership. Osimhen besides needing more fierce competitionn for that #9 position, will definitely need some games where he can just rest knowing that his deputies can easily get the job done without him. If only...

Re: My 8 take aways after Cape Verde and Liberia

I'll like to see Bonke and Kingsley again when we face CAR in three weeks time, maybe we should play Iwobi as a CAM in a middle triangle of Ndidi and Bonke/Aribo... if Onyeka is covid free and good to play, then Bonke might have to be on the bench

Re: Chidera Ejuke: "The thing you dey find go Sokoto..."

He has to learn when to stop dribbling and try to find a pass or shot. It’s quite frustrating watching him beat one and two and still try for 3 and 4 without even looking up to see if there is anybody free to pass to. I believe that is more of a problem when he is out wide and runs into cul-de-sac ...

Awoniyi: Time to make a case for him?

Onuachu for all his impressive goal scoring records still plays in a weaker league compared to Awoniyi, needless to say Onuachu has been a very bad fit for the SE so far cause we just don't seem to play to his strength. Awoniyi on the other hand has been doing the business in a superior league, and ...

Re: My 8 take aways after Cape Verde and Liberia

Some good points chief. I think apart from the age-old problematic GK position - but at least Okoye has locked down a starting shirt in the Eredivisie, and he will have 2 solid seasons behind him before the WC - the SE is turning out to be a solid prospect for a good World Cup run. The central defe...
