Re: It's Full Time for Peter Rufai as He Dies at 61
I just might need a break from social media today and just unwind at the gym, not just a good day.

Re: Can we win in SA?
If Chelle is dumb enough to call up the usual garbage deadweights NFF will force on him, then forget it. Also Ekong and Ajayi should NEVER start that game if they are called up, two sluggish CBs like that against very tricky Mzansi boys will be a recipe for heart breaking bad news...Bassey and Igoh/...

Re: World Cup musings (Iran/USA)
Needless to say that Mr Orange man has already blacklisted several countries on a travel ban, including several African countries that qualified to the world cup in a host country that seeks to ban them. USA might lose their hosting rights but FIFA are probably more concerned about the $$$ than thes...

World Cup musings (Iran/USA)
So I was thinking, since Iran have qualified for the world cup and have gotten into a real political mess with the Orange mans USA, does it mean the US will ban the Iranian national team from participating in the world cup on their home soil? If so how will that play into the FIFA rule of not meddli...

Re: Hull City close in on Ajayi
Good news for him that a club wants to sign him! Hopefully, he can concentrate on his club and not be invited to the national team. His former club, West Brom , that released him finished 9th in Div 2 . Hull City finished 21st out of 24 spots in Div 2 (i.e, they finished the season in the last slot...

Surprised nobody talks about the Okoro kid that balled at the U20 AFCON, that's a potential talent we should monitor right there.

Re: Urgent Prayer Request for Amaju Pinnick – Signs of a Mild Stroke
The rest of his body seems to be functioning normally. As Coach said, it is most likely Bell's Palsy. Coach might be right in his assessment. By the way, is Coach a doctor? As far as I know, the only doctor on the forum is Damunk. Coach is a dokita of big Shakespearean grammar nobody here understan...

This is the first thing that came to mind when this video was posted on X, I got hit with a, "yup, looks like he suffered a partial stroke"
I really wish Amaju Pinnick well, can partial stroke be corrected by medications/surgery?

Re: CAF is very weak
They've improved by leaps and bounds since Moetsepe took over. As for CWC, they had no choice but to avoid a scheduling conflict as four African clubs sides will be participating in that tournament so why is the Gold Cup in a few weeks, the following CONCACAF teams are in it. Sounders, LA FC, Inter...

Re: Which Way Nigeria
Men, I just saw that Chile failed to qualify for the 2026 WC. That’s 3 failed WCQ in a row. We are turning out to be like them. They hanged onto their golden generation for far too long and now they’re paying the price. The Moses Simon, Ekong, Kele, Musa and to some extend Ndidi (mostly due to inju...

Re: Which Way Nigeria
Let's get this straight- Osimhen selects games! He has always done it. When was the last friendly this man played for Nigeria. We shrine this dude(I am one of those players). But truth be told, he always selects games. That is why I respect Iwobi, this man never evades friendlies for some flimsy ex...

Re: Which Way Nigeria
Later when we want to have that tough conversation, we will talk about why the likes of Osimhen and Lookman always seem to evade friendly games especially key ones like this one that should prepare us for the WCQ...these guys just pick and choose games.

Re: Russia v Nigeria - 1:1 FT
Nah, we're actually more competitive under Chelle...we didn't fare too badly against a very solid Russian team that hasn't lost a game since 2022 with a largely second string team. A full compliment of our squad would have beaten Russia. Senegal had all the core of their key players against England ...

Re: Russia v Nigeria - 1:1 FT
Russia beating Belarus 3-0 in Belarus at halftime. keep in mind we were missing - Nwabali - Aina - Bassey - Agu - Iwobi - Chukwueze - Ndidi - Osimhen - Lookman 9 players who would for sure have started. I did not include players that I want to start. We are very close, the only problem we have that...

Re: Camp update for Russian friendly: Aina and 5 other players out, Olusegun called up
Even if we qualify for the world cup by some fortune, it will be 3 games and back home if we line up players like Moses Simon, Ajayi, Ekong etc...imagine a Nuno Mendes, Yamal, Rafael Leão or any of those new generation football freaks running at that our defence of Ekong and Ajayi? And knowi...
