Re: Matuidi: I apologized………
Its a shame what happened to Onazi but I believe it was not malicious. Definitely reckless but not intentional. Furthermore, Matuidi looked genuinely sorry afterwards. He got on the ground and kept apologizing. He put his hand on Onazi's chest for several minutes and hung around the stretcher as he ...

Re: Handing Over? Queiroz may succeed Keshi as Eagles Coach
I agree we need continuity. Let's hope that the team advances to the second round at the minimum and plays well which will make it hard to get rid of Keshi unless he himself wants to leave.

Re: Obinwa refuses to rule out Nigeria despite MRI scan fail
After all the insult that was heaped on NFF, I thought his parents were supposed to get a second opinion by having the MRI repeated in US. I do not believe that the parents did not repeat the test. Anyone who finds his child in that position would definitely have a confirmatory test done. So how co...

Re: Balotelli to undergo knee surgery
Heliopolis, He is only 20 years old. In the big context of a full career (if he stays at Man City) 6 weeks will mean absolutely nothing. Remember that Wayne Rooney was injured when he transfered from Everton to Man U. So was Ronaldo from Man U to Real Madrid, Ronaldinho to Milan etc. Furthermore, Ma...

Re: MIKEL says he is not scared of RAMIRES
I wonder if Mikel actually said any of this considering the atrocious fabrication in the title. Nevertheless, if Ramires does acclimatize quickly to England, Mikel will likely be edged out of the strongest 11. He will still get a lot of games because Chelsea could play upwards of 50 games this year....

Re: WHY IS ANCELOTTI NOT USING KAKUTA?
Ancelotti and the Chelsea staff seem to like Kakuta at least they have said so publicly numerous times. They have raved about how he is their future and how well he does in practice. I think a number of things have affected him, first he suffered an ankle injury about 1 year ago and was out for over...

Re: The Community Plate - How Mikel Obi Play?
It seems to me that Mikel is just too timid to take even the smallest of chances with the ball. This will be fine if he was winning balls and breaking up plays but he doesnt even do that. He has become a player that occupies space and takes no risks offensively or defensively. I think this may work ...

Re: IKECHUKWU UCHE suffers relapse of injury in practise match
Part of this might be psychological which can also affect a players performance after recovering from a major injury. It sounds like he felt better afterwards so no worries.
In truth, it has been a rather short period since his surgery.

Re: But seriously.... is Dunga that bad?
Dunga was clearly too stuborn and blinded by his earlier success. His approach to football was uneccesarily stiff and inflexible. Against most opponents, a team like Brazil has no reason to play with 2 defensive midfielders (Melo and Silva). In truth, he could have sacrificed one or the other for an...

No need to be so fickle. He was our best player in the Nations Cup which was only 5 months ago. I will not judge him based on the friendlies unless it replicates what he has been doing in friendlies.

Is NFF really to be blamed?
The increased press coverage and accessibility to the team has further exposed the well established ineptitude in our NFF. However, can we expect all sectors of Nigerian public service to remain corrupt and unrefined and football administration be the singular sound exception? Truth is even if gover...

Good article. Bottom line is some level of increased condition is necessary. Beyond that, the science is fuzzy and debatable.

Re: Yakubu leads Eagles against Colombia (starting lineup)
Clearly a 4-3-3. The only conclusion I want to make is that the man is experimenting with formations and with personell. He has developed a reputation as a tactitian. If he is able to get some plasticity out of our players and get them comfortable in differnet formations, then to me its a good thing.
