Re: Nigeria vs Sudan Live! 1-0

Chukwueze is a bit disappointing despite his goal. And Simon is AWOL. I reached my verdict a long time ago,boy is not ready . He gets the ball before thinking of what to do. Many good players already know what they want to do before the ball gets to them. His game is erratic . Maybe it is in the co...

That is the mentality of winners . That is the attitude of big boys and big teams. You are not a big team without those kind of attitude

Re: Nigeria vs Sudan Live! 2-0 (Chukwueze, Awoniyi)

Good game and good result so far. Game should have been put to bed by now. But after that Sierra Leone collapse ,it would take me some time to be able to trust our defence again. Guys go for two more and lets us wrap up this game and we all can retire for early weekend.

Re: The simple reason that AFCON games are low scoring affairs

Sudan should have been down 4 goals by now,not because of any real defending ,rather our boys missing goals in front of gaping nets. That has been the lot of many games here.

And when we scored ,you see why the likes of Sudan will always be minnows, look at the keeper drop a clanger.

Re: Empty stadiums,Empty stadiums,Empty stadiums at Afcon

A Cameroonian friend who returned from Younde yesterday told me that the reason the stadia are empty has to do with the strict requirements to provide evidence of vaccination or Covid infection free . To start with he said only a fraction of Cameroonians have been vaccinated and secondly the obvious...

Ayew said a Ghanaian player was on the ground and they put the ball out . So he expects Gabon to hand the ball over to them, did I hear him right ?

They probably told him to run for cover. But he can go into the dressing room and nack him the red. Ghana is finished! I never thought I will see the day Ghana football will become like this.

Re: AFCON: Ghana vs Gabon 1-1

The Gabonese have looked more daring unlike Ghana just romancing the ball in the middle doing nothing meaningful. And when they have come close it is someone making some daft decision, looking to shoot when your mates are lined up all better placed.

Re: The simple reason that AFCON games are low scoring affairs

The analysis is mostly incorrect. The most likely reason for low- scoring games is parity, short and simple. There are no minnows in African football; not anymore; it is not easy to beat a well prepared African team❗️ Cheers. You don't have to play against minnows to score goals. When City wallops ...

Re: The simple reason that AFCON games are low scoring affairs

The goal scoring opportunities are there ,the problem has been poorer and poorer decision making in the 3rd quarter and in the box. Taking extra touch where a simple quick pass was needed, running into cul de sac where a simple pass back or squaring to a team mate better placed....the worst is the sh...

Sadiq is not Taiwo, two completely different playere who will give you different output. The only common output expected from both will be to score goals. Sadiq is better with ball possession, has more skill and ability on the ball than Taiwo. Not as aggressive ,definitely not as pacy. I think he was...

Re: Eguavoen must be kept as SE coach

For someone having his first ever start for the GWG, I thought Awoniyi was MASSIVE today. His hold up play, runs behind the defense and his torment of the Egyptian centre-backs was a delight for me. Was really impressed with the young lad and wish him all the very best. That yeye coach had Awoniyi ...

That yeye coach had Awoniyi ,yet he went fishing for Ighalo from retirement ,that was when I gave up on the clown. That was the final nail used to nail his coffin.

Re: Nigeria vs Egypt 1-0

there was a quick break at the end where I was screaming at EJuke for not passing, but on replay I saw that there was no square ball on for him. There were like 3 defenders scrambling back that would have easily intercepted any pass. The shot was actually the best option. The pass was on earlier bu...

Egu need to have a word with those players who made those silly decisions, players like that get coaches fired.
