Re: The most important position in the soccer field is?

Massive engine which means he can contribute on both sides of the ball. He covered more ground than anyone else on the field of play. Great passer of the ball too, great dribbler, and good defender? Is there anything that the guy cannot do? His defense splitting pass for Mikel's goal was almost ins...

That young man will cost us dear with the way he gives the ball away. He gifted Algeria that goal with a sloppy pass. This is not the first time he has done it and against sterner opposition, one mistake like that is enough to cost you the game. I just hope Kelechi Nwakali has come through by this ...

Swansea has American owners, so it is good to see that they are giving one of their own a chance to coach in the EPL.

Re: Why such a lack of top level left footed Nigerian player
Left footed football players tend to be more talented attackers than the rest partly because they exploit the weaker side of conventional players. Consider that the following are left footed: - Lionel Messi - Diego Maradona - Cruyff - Rivaldo - Robben - Van Basten - Romario Add Hristo Stoichkov to ...

David Epstein's book "The Sports Gene" may have debunked Malcolm Gladwell's "10,000-hours rule" at least for athletes... First, this team is going to be our first "REAL" U17 team. Secondly they are really technically better and tactically smarter than all their predeces...

Great choice!Altobelli wrote:Ivan Zamorano and Marcelo Salas - 1997/98
Another duo worthy of mention -- Stoichkov and Balakov (or Kostadinov). Bulgaria had a great run to the semis in the 1994 WC despite a 3-0 loss to Naija in their opening match.
