Re: The South African DOMESTIC LEAGUE Provides a Foundation
For the millionth of time. We must develop the Nigerian league. Our people like shortcuts. No country has won the world cup without a strong league. Foreign base vs Local base. Can not argue with the statement in bold. The current RSA team is made mostly of players from Sundowns (7) even though thr...

Re: Bafana Dressing Room: Apparent INSULT towards SE....
This shows that countries have been rebuilding while Naija was chopping and changing for the past 3-4 years. failure for Nigeria to qualify for the last Olympics means they missed out on valuable experience. On the other hand, Stuart Baxter on his first official game back in charge of Bafana Bafana,...

i fear for Sunderland! Today they may relegate. We will see who will join them. Swansea dont look too safe. Will Chelsea increase the gap? Will Spurs close it?

Re: Why has Rooney always been underrated?
Very surprised that Rooney is not getting more respect for breaking a record that stood for 45 years, and becoming: 1) Top scorer for his country. 2) Top scorer for his club. 3) Top away goals scorer in EPL history. Like Scholes before him, Rooney will be fully appreciated only after he retires. Th...

Re: EPL 2016-2017 season, my view
The Kop have the beating of most top 6 teams due to their high pressing game. They have Chelsea in the next two games and it would be interesting to see if Klopp can utilize the brilliance of the returning Coutinho to thread balls behind Chelsea's fullbacks. Their Midfielders are very hard working ...

Re: EPL 2016-2017 season, my view
My brother, City's problem is not injuries or unavailability of players, it is rather the Coach, who continues to fail to choose the right players for the games. The chopping and changing has left most of his players short of confidence and there is no consistency in what he is doing On the two Man...

Re: EPL 2016-2017 season, my view
I agree that when the Spurs 11 is fit - no team can match up with them as long as the refereeing is right. I disagree wrt Tottenham's bench strength. The Spurs bench is not good enough for the run. Winning the EPL will depend on keeping the first 11 fit. The weakness is lack of depth in the Eriksen...

What a weekend we had. The premier league is starting to shape up and top 6 teams are getting even closer, except for the gap from position one. The next three weekends will give us an indication of who will finish top 4 Chelsea are playing Liverpool away and Arsenal at home in the next three games....

Re: The Great Dane - Boring Boring Pep
@ TFCO, are you expecting to get a comment on your posts from the Pep groupies? It will never happen until he starts to win again. The sure footed goal keeper he got after shipping out a better shot stopper is proving he is not cut for the premier league. At this rate, City may not make the top 4 th...

^^Alas the Freudian Slip...'should've played Mikel'. How one champions a midfield of Wanyama and Dembele, celebrates its overpowering of Kante and Matic, then concludes, should've played Mikel is somewhat laughable. As an admirer of Obi's block/tackling ability, there is absolutely no doubt, a pair...

Looks the English teams are looking to strengthen this window. Will Liverpool secure more wingers? Will Man United, Chelsea and City secure middle fielders they need to solidify in that area? Does l'pool have enough defensive cover? Berahino needs to just secure a move from WBA. They seem hell bent...

Re: Manchester United - News, Developments & Season
The AFCON month might be a good one for Man Utd (even though they will be without Bailly). While the AFCON is on, Man Utd will play: Hull THREE times (who will be without Elmohady and Mbokani), and Liverpool (who will be without Mane) and Leicester (who will be without Slimani, Amartey and Mahrez)....

Swansea will not get relegated . The squad is too good. Hull will go down and now the perfect combination of Crystal Palace and Allardyce means that I WANT them to go down as well. Chelsea is currently setting the pace and may win it in the end. The Spurs game however highlighted Chelsea's weaknesses and Conte's tactical rigidity. Most people think it was just an off day, however I do not think that is just one bad game. Conte has been found out. He knows only one way of play...

A 27 year old player going to China???????????? I believe Mikel is 29. In his position I'll do the same. he still has about 5years of good football in him.
