Re: Destiny Udogie
When I tell people we will be left behind IN AFRICA, let alone the world, they go still try and justify Musa.. I'm not sure of the Stats, but are we the only top African team that has never succeeded in convincing a single potentially world class dual national player with Naija roots about playing ...

Re: Guys, something very dark is happening in our football
Expecting Nigerian football to somehow be an island of sanity in the midst of a cesspool is just downright delusional and ignorant. NFF is a microcosm of Nigeria. It is rotten to the core. The earlier folks acknowledge and come to this realization, the more you're likely to save yourself pain. Stop ...

U17, U20 and world champions. Spanish domination. Testament to good youth development. England showed good effort but Spain were just better and seemed more likely to score in the last 10 mins. I am so sorry yet proud for these wonderful girls. To get knocked out without losing a game in regulation time is unfair but that’s football. For all the off the field distractions, they did themselves proud. Let’s hope we are able to build on this.

Big fan of the 90s Eagles but gentle reminder that the 2 players that scored against us in 1994 were short men under 6ft - Cannigia and Baggio still saying holla and ciao almost 30 years down the line. For all of the brute force Shittu et al packed, it was still a short #$% Heinze that stole our Pom...

Toni Payne has not played well in this tournament. No supply to the attack except through Plumptre and Alozie. Running around with your hair flying all over the place is not football. Sorry. Congrats to the young man. I truly hope he fulfils the highest of his potential and that this inspired other Naija players to continue to break into more elite teams

is this not the same hue of green we wore at the World Cup in 2002 if I recall. Maybe our poor performance in that tourney built in a dislike and my bias against this color. Got to say it looks good though

Why would you want to out yourself through this sort of stress to associate with frankly...

Only deluded folks would expect the Eagles to be an island of excellence or meritocracy in the general junk and rot that is Nigeria. Anyway, no be today e start. It will get worse. For your individual and collective sanity, learn to detach yourselves. Hope for the deluded best when we line up and mo...

:rotf: I'm glad he has solidarity from other colleagues. Whether the UK govt asylum policy is right is another discussion. Congrats to Troost. He has served us well over the last few yrs, he playsbwith his heart fir Nigeria and I appreciate. However, I think we need to start looking the younger players for the future. Adarabioyo, Akpoguma, Awazien , Ndah, Bassey need to form the core of the new SE defense. Troost can s...

Re: Watched the 1970 World Cup for the 1st time
As per the Pelé comment. If you watch the Netflix documentary on him, he was pretty much off form going into that WC and the coach before Zagalo was scheming to drop him even coming up with a story that his eyesight was poor. The powers that be sacked him a couple of months b4 the tourney (I guess o...

A big too far for Maroc. But they can hold their heads high. They represented themselves and the continent well. Hats off to a respectable campaign. I hope they can pick themselves up and end on a high against Croatia.

Mate, Sorry about the result, but this was one bridge too far for you guys. Croatia though has a very impressive WC pedigree - 2 semis and 1 final placement is on mean feat. I'm hoping the impossible happens and this cup comes to Africa but Messi and his fellows seem to have hit their stride at the ...
