Re: Get Well Soon Nwankwo Kanu

Wishing you a quick recovery, king Kanu! Your exquisite ball skill and your ability to change a game with just a touch of the ball still brings smiles to my face.

Re: CHAN SEMI-FINAL: GHANA 0 - NIGERIA 0

If we were very good with dead balls, we could use their rough play to our advantage: run with the ball more in the last third and get fouled and then earn free kicks in dangerous areas.

Re: Folks please watch Ekpo's worldclass pass.

I watched the game LIVE, and I thought his overall game has improved immensely. Ekpo in my opinion is a talented player, but consistency and poor work rate are his achille's heel. His work rate improved a bit in the last game against the Rapid. I think we have too many lazy midfielders to even consi...

Re: The end of an Era! Goodbye Kanu!

I rarely post here... but I can't resist the urge to SALUTE my hero KING KANU for his service to Nigeria. I'll miss his HIGH football IQ, deft touches, and supreme confidence and calmness on the ball.

Re: Formula for Nigeria to qualify for the 2010 World Cup

Tunisia also knows the significance of the game on June 20, so I expect them to show up with their A game. It will be a very difficult game - and yes, a draw will be a good result, but we have a to play for a win because all teams (Tunisia inclusive) are beatable.

Re: Just watched our game against CIV again and...

I think you have 12 players listed - 4defenders, Etuhu, Fijana, Nsofor, Ozase, Obi, Uche and Yak. We aren't as bad as we're making out. Actually, our play up until Kanu left was as good as it's been in years. CIV dominated possession to little effect. We had by far the better chances up to that and ...

The experience of past tournaments tells us that North African countires in most cases only can win the trophy in a north african country. The Pharoahs...

In short, without sounding disrespectful, Scotland made Japan look very scary. Japan are very tactical, discipline and well coached but not invincible.

While Japan is enjoying the comfort of being the group leader, the Ricans are playing with passion and holding on to anything to stay afloat.

Costa Rica are closing down on the Japanese really fast, and the games has been pretty much balanced.

I think Scotland are the least fantastic among the bunch in the group.

I think the SE's problem is in part mental. These friendlies are very good but will not solve this problem. Berti needs to spark the fire in them. Don't ask me how because we have paid Berti to do this job.

The SE's form won't be as bad as it was in Abeokuta, so expect a stronger SE to show up in Kampala.
