Re: Africa's five qualifiers will be a formality after today
Do away goals count double in the event of a tie after the 2nd leg?

Re: Rohr was a better coach than Eguavoen
Leave Eguavoen in charge for the WC playoff. Rohr was crap. At least I have enjoyed watching the SE at this tournament. The last time I did that was when we beat Algeria and Cameroon towards WC2018 qualification. Since then we regressed terribly. At least I have some hope with the way Eguavoen has s...

Very disappointed, but I still think we should leave Eguavoen in charge for the World Cup playoffs.

Re: Napoli may SUE to prevent Osimhen from AFCON appearance
I have a better idea. The European Leagues should change their calendar to accommodate our AFCON. If they make their seasons to run from March to December, then we can have our beloved tournament in January, once the European seasons are over. Why should we always be the ones to change to suit the o...

Re: Unleashed: The Enugu Rangers Revolution (1970-1977)
I didn’t know all the history shared here. Thanks for sharing. I was a young Yoruba boy growing up in Lagos who chose to be a Rangers fan. This of course opened me up to so much abuse - especially when Rangers beat IICC on penalties in the 1977 African Cup Winners Cup semi final 2nd leg in Kaduna (a...

Re: 2019/2020 Spurs Season: [CL] RBL vs TOT [RD 16 2L]
I needed to be weaned off the weekly pain Spurs were imposing on me. I would rather watch old games that brought a smile to my face last season.

Re: 2019/2020 Spurs Season: [FAC] SOU vs TOT [RD 4]
Getting £17m for a player who was adamant on leaving, and who could have left for FREE in 5 months time, is EXCELLENT business. There was no way Eriksen was going to sign a new deal at Spurs; his mind was made up. As such, this is good business by Levy.

Re: CAF rethinking AFCON Summer Schedule.....
CAF should not have moved the ANC in the first place, just to pacify European clubs. Now FIFA is proposing timing a tournament in direct competition with what is meant to be CAF's flagship championship. No respect, but I suppose we should respect ourselves first, eh? I would prefer it to be put back...

Re: 2019/2020 Spurs Season: Thanks for the Memories Poch
I am one of a few Spurs fans that actually respects and appreciates Daniel Levy as a Chairman. He is not afraid to make tough calls. Football can be an emotive sport, but in the cold light of day, with the results being the way they have been this year, Champions League aside, it was inevitable that...

Re: 2019/2020 Spurs Season: [PL] BHA vs TOT [WK 8]
Ok. I’ve changed my mind. My angst has mellowed somewhat. Poch to stay. Recalibrated expectations for this season. Let those players who are out of contract or peering over the wall go - Jan, Toby, Rose, Aurier, Eriksen, Wanyama. Start blooding some of the youth alongside recent signings as they ret...

Re: 2019/2020 Spurs Season: [PL] BHA vs TOT [WK 8]
Poch has done well for THFC over the last 5-6 years. Even so, I think it’s now time for a change. It sometimes gets to a stage where the dynamic between a manager and his players deteriorates irreparably and I think that time is now. We have a very good squad of players. I don’t buy this argument th...

Re: 2019/2020 Spurs Season: [PL] TOT v CYP [WK 5]
I think Poch needs to start putting Parrott on the bench. Can’t just have Kane as the only real no 9 for the whole season.

Re: 2019/2020 Spurs Season: [PL] TOT v AVL [WK 1]
First off, I think we had a decent window. Dybala got me excited - a real support for Kane, and true competition for Dele, but I had this nagging feeling that he could be a disruptive influence in the camp. Just a hunch, perhaps based on the circumstances surrounding the negotiations and his dismiss...

Re: 2019/2020 Spurs Season: Preseason Preparations
There is a Youtube channel that discusses transfer business which I found to be an eye-opener. Whilst the average fan focuses on transfers, the real custodians of a club focus on OVERALL costs. So for example, a fan will focus on the rumoured fee of say £25m for Sessegnon and wonder why Levy hasn't ...

Re: LIVID ODEGBAMI'S RECORD VS ALGERIA
Odegbami retired from the then Green Eagles in 1981. He did not go to ANC 1982 hosted by Libya. Our record against North African teams during 1978 and 1982 World Cup qualifiers (from memory so may be a little patchy): 1977 Lagos Nigeria 4 v 0 Egypt 1977 Cairo Egypt 3 v 1 Nigeria 1977 Tunis Tunisia 0...

..... do we have? I noticed different uniforms and 'tunes' (if you can call them that) during our games. Some side by side playing different songs. What is going on?

Re: Tunisia v Nigeria 0-1 (Ighalo)
My observations: Uzouho looks more assured than Akpeyi. Collins has more or less secured his spot in the team. Chukwueze is our joker in the pack (it seems he has a tendency to go missing though). Defence is fairly solid. We still lack creativity.
