Re: Why haven't we seen any through balls for Osimhen?

Very few go in.
Some go over the bar or go wide.
It's possible but takes a lot of precision and technique

He stepped up when nerves of steel were needed yesterday for the penalty(s), just as he did against CIV in the group stage. He took one for the team, and for good measure practically wrestled the SA player :rotf:

Re: The Irresponsible Sequence of Play That Could Have Ended Us

That Lookman missed opportunity had me most frustrated and then the poor move move by Yusuf which led to the challenge. And to think, people would have berated Aina for missing his penalty... If we had sharpened up in regulation time we would not have gone into Penalties. (The silver lining for this...

It was designed just for fun (Photoshop).
It hasn't been physically created.
The ones who published the photos saying it was the official release without true confirmation are the ones to blame.

Re: OPARANOZIE RETIRES

Memory lane. I'm just remembering this fantastical piece of journalism about Oparanozie   Though the Falconets did not win the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Germany, the player who wore the No. 9 shirt for the team, Ms Desire Oparanozie, has won the hearts of many. While Nigerian men ...

Re: Again I Ask of the NFF and/or Nike

Taken from Reddit (makes sense I guess):
"Because National squads don't require registration in qualifying or friendly matches. During tournaments, registration of a set number of players is required and thus each player gets a designated number."

Re: Ashley Pumpltree moves to Saudi Arabia

I saw somewhere that she was moving abroad for the same reasons she chose to play for Nigeria?

What connection, if any, does she have to Saudi Arabia? 🤔

Anyway, sha... as she mentioned she wants to learn new things on and off the pitch.
I wish her all the best!

Oh really, you can? ...and making her leave the home nko ? Much ado about nothing. I can almost guarantee that her father didn’t say that. Very often, when translating an Igbo sentence into English, the semantics of the words are almost completely lost. I have heard numerous parents chide their kid...

  I think I am yet to see a single NIGERIAN professional who went through something like this and was happy about it. So you guys (parents) can twist it all you like, but the children do not appreciate it. And this is NOT in the moment. This is AFTER years of reflection. They do not appr...

[...] The best players are in Europe , there's no way to hide from this. If there is a true prospect in Nigeria, he will be snapped up at a young age. Who are we fooling. There aren't hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Unless there are positions where we don't have options, the NPL shouldn't rea...

Re: Guys, something very dark is happening in our football

No one wants to force the coach to do anything. What must be done is our leagues must improve so that the National Squad can have a few from the league. Forget about those other nations who have good squads without national league players, it makes little sense that a national team has to always ou...

Re: Guys, something very dark is happening in our football

Seconded. It's still sad that we can have people representing the National team but none which play in the national League (which is also probably an indictment on the league itself). I actually agree with the 3 homebased player rule. Let the man do some work for once, scouting our league for the b...

Hoping that we get V.Lopez and she does wonders for us.

Also, though not mentioned in the video, Onyenezide is one I thought can grow and be a key player in the Falcons. Wherever she is I hope she developing. Too many stars at youth level burn brightly for a while and then fade out.
