That Rolandinho Ad...

...I really like that Nike ad. The one where there is a group of people following the dude around on the pitch. very creative and shows the true nature of the soccer fan. It's like you're right there on the pitch with the players...living and dying with every play. The song is not so bad too...it's ...

Guys, In terms of pure skill, I think the best ever was Matt Latissier. The man was genius with the ball...if he had anykind of a decent team around him, Southampton would have won an EPL title. So adored was tis man at the dell, that I once saw a sign that read..'Some call on God, we call on Lattis...

Gullit was hired, and the first thing he did was bring in Vialli...promising chelsea fans he would be their savior. He never really got it going. What is his legacy?

Can Fashanu coach the eagles?

...I really think the SE coaching job should be handed to John Fashanu. The dude has kept himself updated on soccer trends and understands naija mentality. I believe he's the ideal man for the job...those who are clamouring for a FC will be happy because he's well schooled in English soccer...those ...

This is obviously the nonsensical ramblings of a crazed ibo man. I joined the new cybereagles forum last year (yes i was on the old one but i have forgotten my handle) and was impressed by the quality of posts and the refreshing minimal presence of tribalistic arguments in the Eagles Nest ......

Re: Martins should focus on playing for Siasia.

Calm down. The boy has talent no doubt...but really, is there anything wrong if he waits till 2010 to 'polish' his talent. We have proven strikers that can play and play well in Germany....is it really the worst thing if Oba doesnt make the squad? I think not. He is not ready for internatinal soccer...

I dont like the implication of your comment!! Surely, you're not suggesting that Oba is over 21?!! that has been our problem using over age players for the under 21s, i am sure there are many up and coming players, they do not need martins, seems like we are looking for another cheap publicity stunt...

Martins should focus on playing for Siasia.

He is not ready for internatinal soccer at the senior level...come 2010 he will be among the best strikers in the world. All our good players had to pay their dues at the junior level (Kanu, Ikpeba. Oruma et al) Martins should be no exception. Jag and Yak can handle the gaol scoring duties...with Ka...

To discount the impact of Rasheed Yekini is unfair. I saw a raw Rasheed Yekini in 1983 when Onigbinde brought him from UNTL Kaduna to Shooting Stars and for years after, Yekini delighted fans at Liberty Stadium. I still recall daft coversations on the terraces in Liberty such as "what do you t...

Spurs you raise a good point. I think the #10 has evolved from the day when Pele played. #10 were usually known as strikers but in todays world they are more like midfielders. I wouldnt rate Lineker as being the best #9. Following the thinkingg thats prevalent on this site, he wasnt beause Enghland...

Greatest 9's and 10's of all time.

# 9 and 10. The most memorable numbers on the soccer pitch. The most talented, dribblers, passers and goalscorers in the world have worn these #'s. Who is the greatest ever # 9? what about 10? In my opinion I think the best (and most under-rated) # 9 of all time, was England's Gary Linekar. The guy ...
