Re: Nigeria vs CIV (1-2) Ekong , Kessie, Haller 2H
Congratulations to CIV. They came to play and we came to park the bus in a final game. The best team on the day won. They clearly deserved to win the game.

This is what happens when you keep playing with your food. Now we will find out if this team can turn it on offensively.

Re: Nigeria vs CIV (1-0) Ekong HT
We don't deserve the lead, but I will take it all day. The second half may get ugly for CIV because now they will throw all caution to the wind and we can get them on a good counter - my hope

Re: Why haven't we seen any through balls for Osimhen?
And why is there almost no shooting from the outside? The truth is those long range shots are not the most precise and that's actually why they are very dangerous for the goalie. We need to be taking at least a couple in each game just to keep the defense honest. Sometimes those shot go in. Sometim...

Re: VAR team quiet until after the 2nd goal...
With less than five minutes left in regulation time, Nigeria scored a clean second goal. Obviously, that goal would have ended the match. Why did the VAR team allow play to proceed until after the second goal was scored? I know folks would say the SA players protested. Frankly, I thought it was ver...

Re: How did Equatorial Guinea beat CIV 4-0!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIDxUTc7H4Q We need the same game plan! They are still the same team! Not so, bros. Different circumstances, different game. You forget that in that game, the Ivoreins had to throw away caution after conceding the first goal. They not only needed to equalize but also...

Re: Where do we rank Peseiro IF he wins the AFCON
Coming into AFCON, I had my concerns about the coach based on the less than stellar results. However, I cannot quarrel with the success we have seen so far. He was able to organizes a very disciplined defensive line that has kept us in games and got us to the final and, hopefully, win AFCON. He brou...

Re: POSIERO MADE WRONG SUBS AGAIN
Don't overthink this folks. The first penalty was taken by a guy who had only played 10 minutes in the entire tournament. That's your first hint right there that he came in for penalties. The coach knows who his best penalty takers are and he subbed them in. It's really that simple. How else do you ...

Re: SE and Foreign Born Players
This a a very interesting discussion. As far as I am concerned, anyone born of Nigerian parentage regardless of where they are born is NIGERIAN and eligible to play for the national team. The advantage that the "away" born Nigerians have is that they get early exposure to modern football t...

Re: SCENARIO: SE in a PK shootout, Who would be your first 5 takers
With all the Penalty drama that has been going on, a Penalty shootout is a scenario we haven't been in quite a while but if the current SE team were to be in one, who'd be in your top 5 takers? Mine would be: 1. Ademola Lookman - He has quite the experience of taking high stake penalties and has se...

We are in the same world cup group as RSA and have always had the psychological edge on them so this is a game we absolutely have to win in order to retain that edge. Going by what I saw RSA do against Cape Verde today, we should win this game. 2-0 Nigeria

I strongly believe we will beat RSA or Cape Verde. However, RSA is in our world cup group so I don't want to play them right now. The more RSA plays us the more opportunity we are giving then to adjust to our style. I will rather we play Cape Verde.

Re: Nigeria vs Angola (1-0) Lookman x1, Moses assist FT
To be honest, Angola was poor and un-inventive lacking any creativity. SE was better them on all accounts and knew what to do with the ball when we had it, Their star names Dala and Mabululu were missing. With us playing so deep especially in the 2nd half with no pressure on the ball, a clever side...

Re: Nigeria vs Angola (1-0) Lookman HT
With the exception of all the ree kicks and corner kicks we are giving up, I like what I see with our defense. Angola is going to come out with all guns blazing in the second half and my hope is we catch them on a few counter attacks.
