Re: It is April 7th, the NFF still have not named a coach for the SE

They should name Finidi the coach. Appoint a solid backroom staff. They need to start preparing. Sout Africa will be coming to win in Nigeria. And it is doable. If the likes of Guinea Bissau can do. And the mighty Siera Leone can come back to tie a game 4-4 in NIgeria. South Africa will fancy their ...

Re: It is April 7th, the NFF still have not named a coach for the SE

When will the new coach start to work on South Africa and Benin which is about 2 months away. IF they do name a foreign journey man coach. Imagine that journey man coach first game is against South Africa in Nigeria in front of all that pressure. He has never worked with the players before. That wo...

Re: It is April 7th, the NFF still have not named a coach for the SE

Nff is in serious financial trouble, they owe way more than the $5m they received for Afcon, even 10B that was supposed to be paid by the govt is yet to be remitted to the nff. Players and coaches are still owed for 23 games dating back to 2021, means they still owe Rohr and his assistants too. As ...

That is the only way she can compete sadly. it is not a level playing field. Americans are doping and winning. I say they legalize doping.

Re: Local Coach Advocacy- Like Forrest Gump!

Michael Nsien meets the requirements. He's a former coach of Tulsa FC, Head Coach of the US u19 team and is an Assistant Coach of the US National team which is rated well ahead of Nigeria. He played for our Olympic team during qualifiers for the 2004 Olympics while a college student at UCLA. He of ...

Re: Local Coach Advocacy- Like Forrest Gump!

In the context of Nigeria there is a difference. The NFF discriminate against local coaches. They provide more support to foreign coaches than to local coaches. Foreign coaches that don't deserve it gets paid more than local coaches. Rohr, Peseiro earned more than Oliseh and Keshi. Keshi qualified a...

Re: Nigeria Super Falcons 1 South Africa 0 Live Stream | Africa Olympic Qualifiers

Should have won by 4 goals. Played well but didn't finish their chances. So you finally admit they played well that’s what Randy can do. Now compare that to their last game couple of games against Ethiopia and against Cameroon with your clueless local coach when Randy wasn’t there. I still don't kn...

Re: If we don't qualify for the World Cup

Some fans will blame the new coach. But I will not. The fault is squarely on the NFF and WOWO Nigerians. The sad part is they will repeat the same mistakes in 2030. We can only hope we get lucky and lucky our way into good leadership. That is our only chance because the system is setup to encourage ...

Re: If we don't qualify for the World Cup

It is difficult to win games in International football. You only have a few days to work with players. That is why it is important to have long term planning. The more you get to work with players the better. All serious countries have coaches in place, months in advance or years in advance before w...

I don't even think the NFF care. Isn't this under the Nigerian Olympic committee and the sports ministry?

Well even if it was under the NFF, they haven't really cared about the Falcons.

By chance I was flipping through and saw Uchena Kanu and Oshaola play on tv. Uchena Kanu scored twice. Oshaola was a handleful for her club. Ordega can't make the current squad. Also have some good young players coming through.

I don't think the Mali game is part of the rankings. Also UEFA games also have more weight. Again Europeans unfair practices. You are so clueless. Yes the Mali game is part of the rankings. And no the UEFA games are not more weight, that practice ended 4 or 5 years ago when the ranking was reformed...

Based on that interview. I dont think he is a good candidate. But you can't judge a book by the cover. The NFF need to interview him. Lets hear his plans for the team. You never know. Re: SOUTH AFRICA vs NIGERIA (SUPER FALCONS) 1st leg 09/04/2024

Big test for Nigeria. I wish them success even I don't see the need for them to hire Randy Waldrum. This situation reminds me of an American that prefers to buy a big Ford mustang because it is fast and has good designs. But the car easily breaks. Sensible people would rather buy a good Toyota Camry...
