Re: Winning The Trophy Is Important For A Successful Future

Why should some players do the heavy lifting for the national team and others now feel its an attractive place for them to swoop in and take the honors In the long run this is not sustainabile We need to build from home and make the competition for places exciting for the team. Agreed to the extent ...

Re: Nigeria vs Cameroon (2-0) Lookman x2 Hangs, Our Osimhen, Bassey assists) FT

I don't know why some of us are complaining. To be it was a decent game we played. Osimhem as usual held his own, pulled the double teaming. The Cameroonians had no game plan than to obstruct the eagles. Lookman was to the eagles today what Victor Moses was to the team in 2013. But for a team to be...

Nice workout for the boys, great win against our arch rivals

The Cameroonian stirker who took out Nwabali should have been red carded, his actions were clearly intentional

Re: RAINBOW BEHIND OUR SECOND FINISH CLOUD

SE has had a poor start to the AFCON…. With all the attacking talent (most dropping off injured like flies), we have only scored 1 (one) goal from open play BUT the most maligned defence… has considered 1 (one) goal all tournament…..as well?? That led to a second place finish….. This might sound ba...

Re: Guinea Bissau vs Nigeria (0-1)FT

Our strikers need to start finding ther goal scoring confidence quickly because better teams will not be so forgiving. We also dwell too much on the ball

A win is a win but we can and should do better..Next game is already going to be tough

Re: Troost appears out for the rest of the tournament

Injuries are part of the game and it’s unfortunate for the player who put in his mileage to have been selected in the first place I hope both players recover well On the other hand this gives the other players an opportunity to show they belong and if they do not , that will be the bigger tragedy fo...

We have a guy playing Div 1 and CL regularly. We have another guy struggling to make the team in Div 2, sitting on the bench in the south coast of England, and yet, it is the second guy we picked??? Consistently? And our fanbase accepted it and continues to accept it???! In this wicked weather, jus...

Re: Yusuf on his debut

Here is the story. It's not the coach, it's the NFF. https://www.google.com/amp/s/soccernet.ng/2022/09/royal-antwerp-left-stunned-as-nff-cancels-midfield-sensations-invitation.html/amp Was it NFF or Peseiro that invited Yusuf? If it’s Peseiro, then he was the one who cancelled the invitation and th...

Sad loss to to a great champion.. winning the world cup as captain in 1974, as a coach in 1990 and of course posting the winning bid for the 2006 world cup

Legends never die

He innovated the "sweeper" role

I heard Mario Zagallo (of Sangalo fame) also passed on this week

Re: Friendly: Nigeria 0-2 Guinea FT

As a fan, who is clear about the fact that I have no influence on the results or what goes on in the team, all I can say is that this does not bode well for confidence going into the tournament With a 2-0 defeat, 2 things come to mind 1. The players, regardless of whether its a B team or C team, hav...

Re: Friendly: Nigeria 0-2 Guinea FT

My concern in all this is still no Boniface with a muscle injury. Suddenly we've gone from "spoiled with strikers" to having limited options. Watching NFF and the coach blame each other for the 25 (instead 27) player selection is comical at best. I think the language barrier may have been...

Re: ALL OF ENYEAMA'S WORLD CUP SAVES

Let me guess, half of these came from that Argentina match in 2010. I was close to his post when wave after wave of Messi attacks, he kept twarting it

His performance and perhaps Kalu Uche's goals were the only things I remember fondly about the worst world cup team we assembled...ever!!!
