Anybody here remember Nigeria's loss to Gabon in 1989?

It was what stopped us from going to the big dance. Had we won that game, the loss in the final game to Cameroun wouldn't have mattered. Deja Vu all over again???

that was 2 games to the end of the qualifiers, this is the beginning of this one,and ain't gonna be no deja vu here, cos we are going to Germany06

Yes we do just like we remembered the loss to Liberia and Serria Leone in 2001. Did you say Deja Vu all over again? :roll:

this loss is totally different.

all we lost is one game and people are panicking already.
enroute to usa 94 we lost our second game too so i say its deja vu all over again.

Wasn't Angola in our group as well for those qualifiers? Remember us drawing 2-2 in Luanda (2 long ranges goals from Keshi and Obiku I think). They came to Lagos and made life difficult as tension mounted and we sadly lost Okwaraji.
Consolation is...we didn't lose the WC place to Angola /Gabon but to Cameroun so game on.
