Wow..just watching the Vid Again

Steven Gerrard, actually COULD have done a professional foul! He slipped, but when he recovered he wasn't too far behind.

If he lunged for Demba Ba's feet, either with a head first dive or if he went in with both feet, he could have done a professional foul.

In fact Gerrard actually slows down a little at one point - giving up. I wonder if the thought of a professional foul ever crossed his mind.

Yes he would have gotten a red card, but if he did it quickly enough, it wouldn't have been too near the box. It would still be 0-0 and they could just defend for the rest of the game. 9 outfield players does not mean you can't defend adequately.
Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

If he had not slipped , he would have taken out Ba before he made it into the box. Anything after that is plain stupid, a penalty and a red would do more harm than allowing a goal, while hoping you can come back.

They were 3-0 up at one point, if possible, no one should be champion this year. The EPL is filled with subpar 'big' teams this year.

We have been brainwashed by the Premier League that it's the best in the world. Nonsense. It's the best brand
Roy Keane: ITV 02/25/14

He says that we are currently "brainwashed" into believing that the Premier League is the best competition in the world, and that we are now a long way off dominating the Champions League again.
Gary Neville: Mirror: 12/23/14

I think Spain’s by far the best league.
