please could you explain this? are you saying that if we meet south africa, fifa will ban us from participating in the world cup qualifiers
I dont want them to get any experience against our players. It will give them insight into how to play us in WCQ.

It's better if we don't play them at this afcon.
That is absolutely NOT how it works. SIGH! Their coach has more than 10 matches from 2023- Jan 2024 to scout us. He doesnt need to play against us.

But let me play along, if we play them, wouldn't we also have insight into how to play them in the WCQ?

Best AFCON ever

Did anyone predict these matchups prior to the tournament?

...And we want to be champions?

If the SE is good enough, no opponent can/should be avoided.
My worry is not about this tournament. I think we will beat them here.

My worry is how they will come at us in WCQ after we beat them here.
And when they do, we beat them then too to remind them who we are (Hopefully African Champions). It is really as simple as that.
We should also remember that we may have other players fit and back in the squad by the WCQ so even if SA studies us now we will be a different proposition come those WCQ games

The highest Nigeria can get is 25th. So they will remain 3rd.
