NIGERIA WILL WIN THE CONFED CUP

because we are winning the ANC thats a given...lol....

but seriously these are the only things that can make up for the loss of a WC place for me

1. Win the ANC
2. Win the Confed Cup
3. Win the Olympics

these have to be our immediate goals

U are confused...the winner of Ghana 2008 will be at the Confed. Cup 2009 at South Africa. Watch as Ghana wins a 6th african title@Accra whiles u dream of the Confed. Cup

Does the Confederations Cup not take place every two years. Cameroon went to it in 2003, while Tunisia went in 2005.

It is every two years. Nigeria won in 1994 and went to Confederation cup in 1995 in Saudi Arabia. Beat Japan 3-0, first match. Argentina beat Japan 5-1. Nigeria drew with Argentina 0-0. Argentina for the first time was afraid of Nigeria. Argentina knew if the match ended in a draw, it would win the group and therefore sat back. Nigeria probably had 70 per cent ball possession. Take note that the group winners automatically qualified for the final. Nigeria played for third place against Mexico. It was 1-1 after extra time and Mexico won 4-2 on penalties. Samson Siasia and Amunike missed for Nigeria. Back then it was six countries that participated in the Confed cup. Danemark beat Argentina on penalties to win the cup that year. Danemark were 1992 European champions.
South Africa won in 1996 and went to Confed in 1997. Egypt won in 1998 and went in 1999. Cameroon won in 2000 and went to Confederation cup in Japan 2001. Again Cameroon won in 2002 and went to France in 2003. Tunisia won in 2004 and went to Confederation cup in 2005 in Germany.

Some of u have been sleeping or what. The Confed Cup format has been changed.

From now onwards it will be played on the year be4 the World Cup year and it will be hosted by the Country that will host the world Cup. It is supposed to serve as the dress rehearsal for the World Cup.

The next Confed Cup will be at South Africa in 2009.
There is only one hypothesis that can land Nigeria there.
Since Ghana will double as World Champion and Ghana 2008 Champion...the silver winning african team=Nigeria will also go. This is one of the reasons u guys shd start the agbala to make sure that Ghana wins the Mundial. :lol:

I think we should concentrate on preparing for the Nations Cup for now. Surely, playing in the 2007 Confederations Cup and winning it would be the perfect "We're sorry" gift from the Super Eagles. But they've got to qualify first.

And oh, the Confederations Cup has not been cancelled.

There will be no CONFED. Cup in 2007. The next will be in 2009 @South Africa.
