Two ‘Nigerians’ in the running for MOTM (‘Miss of the Month’)
Elijah Adebayo of Luton Town vs Tottenham and Luca Koleosho of Burnley vs Brentford.
Both blunders were very embarrassing for all Nigerians worldwide. :D

CB: Gabriel Osho - 8/10 - Saw plenty of Salah, and matched up well against the Egyptian. Like his partners, the aggressive Osho defended the Luton box expertly.

That’s not strictly true. Leicester City won the premier league title only two seasons after winning the Championship. They gave a pretty good account of themselves for eight years. Other former Championship teams like Brentford are still thriving in the EPL… and yet again, former EPL staples, like Watford and Norwich City, are currently languishing in the middle and lower rungs of the Championship.

The truth is that the main difference between Championship and Premier League players is opportunity. Some of the most highly regarded EPL players came by way of the Championship. In parallel, the main difference between EPL and Championship teams is spending power🤔❗️

Cheers.

Citing the one and only example in the 30 year history of the Premier League where a team won the Premier League 2 seasons after being promoted is not convincing. All you have done is highlight what an outlier it was.

Leicester's title win is heralded because it was unprecedented and had never happened before. 43% of teams promoted to the Premier League get relegated straight back down in their first season.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news ... ack%20down.

That is extraordinary: that almost half of promoted teams get immediately relegated. Even those that do not get relegated spend the entire season fighting in the relegation zone and narrowly avoid relegation on goal difference or by 1-2 points.

Look at how last season's runaway Championship winners Burnley have struggled in the Premier League this season - despite strengthening their squad! They and the other 2 promoted teams (Luton and Sheffield United) are currently in the bottom 3 positions in the Premier League. That is despite the team above them (Everton) having 10 points deducted!

This is often repeated, especially by the anglo-centric leaning crowd who thinks the sun revolves around England. Its shameful and shows their lack of knowledge, but i think its forgivable, since most of them do not watch football outside England.

English FIRST DIVISION teams go to Europe and are embarrassed. We all saw what happened to Tottenham last year. We all saw how Italian teams swept into the finals of each European competition, including 2 Italian teams in the semi finals of the CL. But dont worry, we are supposed to sit down and listen to some guy who thinks division 2 English teams will survive in top divisions in Germany, Spain and Italy.  What a joke!

4 Spanish teams
3 German Teams
3 Italians Teams
2 English teams

Tomorrow, some brainless 14i0t who thinks the sun revolves around England will tell us how English Div 2 teams will survive in Spain, Germany and Italy.

This is how two of their teams finished. Disgraced! Shameful and embarrassing! Tomorrow a cretin will come and tell us that a Div 2 team in their country can compete in Germany, Spain and Italy. Empty vessels.

Union SG 2 Liverpool 1.

USG outplayed Liverpool from start to finish and should have won by a larger margin. But tomorrow DvmbOne would show up and tell us how a Div 2 team in England will compete in Germany, Spain or Italy.

A lot of people on CE especially the forumer who calls himself wiseone, do not know football. They are privileged to have the internet and we are forced to read some strange misguided views. We must ensure they get exposed
