Chukwu's contract ends next month!

Chukwu out of contract soon

The contract of "Chairman" Christian Chukwu as chief coach of the Super Eagles will end next month just about the time the Nations Cup in Tunisia will be rounded up, www.kickoffnigeria.com has exclusively gathered.

A top official of the Nigeria Footballl Association (NFA) told www.kickoffnigeria.com that by this development the performance of the Eagles at Tunisia 2004 will effectively determine Chukwu's future in the national team.

"Chukwu's contract will be over later next month and whether it will be renewed or not will largely be dependent on the team's performance in Tunisia," the official told www.kickoffnigeria.com.

Several officials have already expressed doubts over Chukwu's ability to successfully lead the country to their fourth World Cup finals in a row and it is now understood that a foreign coach will be hired by the sports ministry in the coming months.

The board will have to take a decision on Chukwu's future soon after the Nations Cup as the Eagles will kick off their 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign on 4 June against Rwanda.

The other group rivals of Nigeria in the World Cup qualifying series are Algeria, Angola, Gabon and Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, NFA chairman Ibrahim Galadima has told www.kickoffnigeria.com that he will travel on Monday to Faro, Portugal, to join the Eagles squad training for the Nations Cup.

Defender Ifeanyi Udeze is the latest arrival in camp.

He arrived in Faro on Wednesday and even trained with the team.

A THOUSAND TIMES YES!!!! :( :( :(

Don't you get it? CCC is plain incompetent. Winning the ANC will almost certainly be inspite of him.

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. The only consolation is that we have no chance of winning ANC with Chukwu anyway, so all this debate or discussion will be irrelevant.

Guys please show some respect. CCC is not the best coach we have ever had, but he is our GREATEST ever CAPTAIN. That should count for something.

Respect please.

Waffiman, i respect him as a player. That plus his spineless attitude is the only reason he got the job in the first place!

As i said before, Chukwu will leave after the ANC, then Obafemi will be ready to play for Nigeria.
