LITTLE girl’s pet pony was stabbed with a pitchfork then battered over the head with a spade by sadistic thugs.
Lauren Smithson, three, was distraught when she and mum Kelly found Lacey, seven, in a pool of blood in her stable.
The terrified horse was treated by vets but will take weeks to recover and now backs away from people — including Lauren.
Kelly, 24, of Aughton, South Yorks,England said: “It’s beyond me how anyone can do this.” The family has offered a £500 reward to find the thugs.
