No vacancy for coach in Enyimba, says boss

S OLE Administrator of Enyimba International Football Club, Mr Anyansi Agwu, has said that there was no vacancy at present for a coach in the club and that Mr. Nikail Urukalo still remained its technical adviser.
Agwu, who spoke in Umuahia at the weekend, said that the clarification became necessary because of newspaper reports on the matter.
He said: "We never had any problem with Urukalo. He applied for and was granted permission to travel to enable him attend to family problems. Unfortunately up till now he has not come back, but even on the day of the match, he called me several times".
On whether he preferred a foreign coach to a local one, he said: "When it comes to professionalism, the foreign coaches are quite good", adding: "The reason why people would probably see Urukalo as having not done well is because of the environment and the system we operate here".
The system, he said, "does not allow any foreign coach, it is not only about Enyimba, you can look at Lobi, even Super Eagles, they don't seem to do well. But look at what Christian Chukwu is doing now, he is doing very, very well".
On the performance of Okey Emeordi, Enyimba's coach, Agwu said he is one of the best coaches in this country. We need to give him what he deserves to succeed towards leading us to retain the trophy.
