COTONOU, Jan 12 (Reuters) - Benin coach Cecil Jones Attuquayefio included uncapped midfielder Roumauld Bocco and defender Adigo Dinalo in his 22-man squad on Monday for the African Nations Cup.

Bocco, who plays in the French second division with Niort, and Dinalo, who is with Schoenberg 95 in the German fourth division, are joined by 13 other overseas-based players in the squad for the country's debut at the tournament, starting on January 24 in Tunisia.

"We hope to use the platform the tournament is giving us to pull surprises and give everyone joy," Attuquayefio, a former Ghana international, told reporters after announcing the squad.

Benin have been drawn in the same group as African heavyweights Nigeria, Morocco and South Africa, with their opening match against Bafana Bafana on January 27.

"The outing will mark a new beginning in Beninoise football," said Attuquayefio, who played for Ghana in three Nations Cup tournaments.

The squad will travel to Libya on Monday to continue with preparations before travelling to Tunis, where they will play the hosts in a friendly on January 17.
