My source is today's London Evening Standard (Early afternoon edition). There is a story on page 83 titled Kanu in D-Day and the situation is explained ther.

Areadaddy,

Yours seems the most logical conclusion.

I'm pretty sure CCC is completely aware of Kanu's movements and being in constant touch with Ogunjobi, I doubt Kanu would be in Nigeria without permission from both the club and country.

If CCC is going to do the right thing, Kanu will not be a starter in Tunisia. He should be restricted to the last 20 mins of games, playing a limited but significant role. Boxed in a tight corner it will be reassuring to know that you have a Kanu on the sub bench to bring on.

The ideal thing will be for CCC to partner Jag with Yakubu and only bring on Kanu when he needs to replace graft (Yak) with craft.
