taribo to miss ANC NEWS REPORT
Taribo may miss Nations Cup
Super Eagles ace defender, Taribo West, may have been ruled out of the Nations Cup.
The Partizan Belgrade star, who has been nursing knee injury for a couple of days, is yet to resume training as he has to visit the gym on his own, while other players train.
Though Taribo expressed hope that he would be okay before the team leaves for Tunisia on Thursday, January 22, team doctor Adamu Muazu said the medical crew is still battling to treat Taribo's knee injury. He also told Daily Sunsport that no player could conceal injury with the level of training they go through.
"It is not possible for any of the players to conceal their injuries," Adamu said. "Even those who arrive late still have to go through the medicals. We don't want to risk anything."
Doctor Adamu insists that though Austin Ejide and George Abbey trained with the team on Monday, the medical team still closely monitors them.
On general note the doctor said there was no case of any serious injury in the team, adding that all the injuries at hand are manageable.
