Eliakwu makes Inter debut

Post by Paveman »

As predicted, the lad came on in the 34th minute of the Udinese - Inter game instead of Andy Van der Meyde. Damnit, I had to go out on work and missed the game. The game ended 0-0.

Martins played the full 90 minutes. Did anyone see the game??? I really wanted to see Eliakwu in action with the big boys. I guess it will have to be next time then.

Yep. Italy is a brilliant breeding ground for these young Nigerians. There are around 20 in all playing for Italy's top two divisions or their youth teams.
I just got some more news from the Italian papers. In the 10 minutes that he was on, Eliakwu did a magnificent dribble (stroke of genius as described in www.gazzetta.it) and had a shot at goal. Not bad overall, when you consider that Inter only had 2 shots at goal the entire game.
