KANU FREE TO QUIT ARSENAL

ARSENAL star Kanu has been told he will not be offered a new contract when his current deal expires this summer - but the Gunners still want him to solve their striker crisis by reporting late for the African Nations Cup.

Arsene Wenger has told him his £45,000-a-week deal will not be renewed and he will be allowed to leave on a Bosman free.

But Wenger has now pleaded with Kanu to get permission from Nigeria to join up after next Sunday's trip to Aston Villa - just six days before the start of the African Nations Cup.

Boss Wenger is left with only two fit strikers Kanu and Thierry Henry.

Kanu owe ARSENAL nothing, if they don't want him he can now negotiate a pre-contract with any prospective club.

I think he would sign with Fulham

I heard on skysports news that Dave Jones wants Kanu at Wolves. Is it true?
