Post by MI5 »

Does anybody have any info or scouting report on Morocco before D-DAY or na so so training we jus dey do and no info on the team we will be playing on Jan 27, 2004? Has anyone seen Morocco play and how do they shape up, line up, tactics, formation and strategy and all ?.....

Morocco squad named

Noureddine Naybet will captain Morocco at the Nations Cup
Morocco's 22-man squad at this month's Nations Cup finals will be captained by veteran Noureddine Naybet.
The 33-year old Deportivo La Coruna defender will be playing in his fifth Nations Cup finals.

However another defender, Abdel Fahmi, has been left out of the squad due to an ankle injury, that he picked up during a French first division match for his club Strasbourg against Marseille.

The Atlas Lions' coach Badou Zaki, who kept goal for Morocco at the 1986 World Cup finals, has included just five players who were in Mali two years ago.

Bordeaux striker, Chamakh Marouane, who celebrated his 20th birthday last Saturday with a goal, is the youngest player in the squad.

There are a total of 17 European-based players included in the final 22.

The Atlas Lions, who won the Nations cup in 1976, will face Nigeria in the opening match of Group D in Monastir on 27 January, before they play Benin and South Africa.
