Deleting/Moving threds

Is anyone deleting posts, please own up or we might have problems on our hands. I suggest before any post is deleted or moved, PM the author. At least he or she will knw why it was done.

I have deleted two threads.

One from GUEST .... he requested it, and PMed me a thank you note.

One from MIKY .... he also requested it .... said he would prefer it if I deleted the thread rather than lock it (he had inadvertently posted old news).

And what is the meaning of "please own up or we might have problems on our hands". Please kindly explain.
