CCC 'S TEAM LIST IS NOT FINAL GALAIMA SAID
Chukwu's Team List is Not Final - NFA
Ready to pay CAF fine

Following the widespread complaints over the recently released Super Eagles' team list for the Tunisia 2004 Nations Cup finals, the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) has given an indication that the list could still be altered if there is a strong need for such a drastic step.
NFA Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, who gave this indication in an interview aired on a private television station in Lagos yesterday, stated that the issue of who should make the team and who should not, is purely technical and therefore should be handled at that level.
The NFA boss who pleaded with Nigerian soccer fans for support as Eagles confront the rest of the continent in Tunisia, explained that the position of the Glass House is such that the best materials available should wear the country's flag in Tunisia.
Alhaji Galadima also pointed out the soccer ruling body was prepared to pay the necessary fine to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), if it would be in the overall national interest to substitute a player from the original list.
Coach Christian Chukwu's list, which was released last Wednesday, has continued to generate reactions from soccer analysts expressing concern about the technical depth of the team and the lack of reserves in some vital department of the team.
Expectedly, most of the soccer fans had called for the dropping of players like Garba Lawal and Ikpe Ekong from the Tunisia-bound team and the inclusion of midfielders, Christian Obodo and Wilson Oruma to tighten Eagles midfield during the continental fiesta.
Coach who is still waiting for the arrival of the Premiership players who dominated his list, had insisted that even has Nigerians have the right to criticise his team, he was not prepared to allow such reactions to disrupt his game plan for the Tunisia 2004 campaign.
