In no particular order Top 6: Reina, Hart, Krul, Vorm, Chec, DDG

David De Gea is in the Premier League's team of the year. He has been recognised as the season's best GK in the EPL. The kid has come on in leaps and bounds. If he stays fit, learns English, and keeps his feet on the ground - he could be a top class GK for club and country for the next 15 years.

It’s not easy for a player to see how he’s outperformed by a 19 year-old kid, but the kid is fantastic. I had the courage to play him and the problem is very simple.

Due to his age, De Gea will come into his prime around the time Casillas retires...

Oh how the tides have turned...

-Iker Casillas: Fallen out of favor with Mourinho and now a bench warmer for RM
-Victor Valdes: Has been extremely error prone since the 2nd half of last season and may leave Barca this season.
-Pepe Reina: Has seen his form decline and has endured 4 awful seasons with Liverpool

At this point De Gea looks like he has a shot at representing Spain at the 2014 WC. Unfortunately though Del Bosque is too loyal to certain players (i.e. Torres) and may once again snub De Gea.

Yes, so what has speaking English got to do with it? Unless wiseone was suggesting he should play for England.....

We have been brainwashed by the Premier League that it's the best in the world. Nonsense. It's the best brand

He says that we are currently "brainwashed" into believing that the Premier League is the best competition in the world, and that we are now a long way off dominating the Champions League again.

Since he plays for Man Utd* and his defenders, coaches and manager speak English, don't you think it would be helpful for De Gea to become a fluent English speaker?

*Man Utd is a football club in England. Research has shown that the national language of England is...wait for it...English.

How time flies. Imagine trying to buy De Gea from a Spanish club today. Fitness guaranteed that guy will man United's goalpost for the next 20 years. Money well spent!!! :thumb:

The first two pages of this thread are a perfect demonstration of how people can talk out of their a$$es with great eloquence and authority.
SAF buys a young barely known keeper for $18m and some boneheads here announce he must be stupid, possibly even corrupt.
Sounds very familiar.

he will only get better, that man will be worth 20 points to man united, Everton should have got a draw last Sunday! Gea saved our blushes, money well spent if you ask me, once our leaky defence gets sorted out, we will start to perform
So angry Nigeria got kicked out of the world cup once again, i nearly told my wife that i caught my girlfriend with another man today!
