Yujam: Lamine Sakho is injured
Sakho doubtful to start
Senegal's Lamine Sakho will miss the opening match of the Cup of Nations
Lamine Sakho, who is currently on loan at Leeds United, won't be playing for Senegal in their opening African Cup of Nations match against Burkina Faso on Sunday, due to injury.
The 26-year-old French-born midfielder will now have to wait until the Kenya game on 30 January to make his debut for Senegal.
Sakho is one of several players in Tunisia that has taken advantage of the new Fifa rule that allows players to switch national allegiance as long as they have not played a senior international game for the country of their birth.
"It's not good. Sakho still hasn't trained," said coach Guy Stephan.
Sakho was also missing for the Teranga Lions 2-1 friendly win over South Africa in Dakar on 18 January.
Senegal's final Group B match will be against Mali on 2 February.
