Buhari, whose two terms thankfully ground to a constitutional halt in May. (One thing both democracies have going for them is that their leaders, however bad, have only two terms to swing the wrecking ball.) Under Buhari, growth per head also plunged to 0. An economic agenda drawn from the dusty pages of a 1970s protectionist handbook failed to do the trick. Despite Buhari’s promise to tame terrorism and criminality, violence flourished. Despite his reputation for probity, corruption swirled. FT

I think this is more a case of show me the loochie

Yaya just signed a new contract last year in which his salary remained the same - a likely slight to the great player. I assume he feels like his play has done the talking and he deserves more

On a return to Barca, he has said he wants to finish his career there. And with Xavi fading, he is probably the perfect replacement torun that engine room for a few more years. City is a big club but Barca is bigger

Anyway I guess this is what being a player of world class stature buys you: Options

If his birthday "slight" is the only issue, I doubt he will be allowed to leave. By that, I mean both parties will resolve the issue amicably in private.

We have been brainwashed by the Premier League that it's the best in the world. Nonsense. It's the best brand
Roy Keane: ITV 02/25/14

He says that we are currently "brainwashed" into believing that the Premier League is the best competition in the world, and that we are now a long way off dominating the Champions League again.
Gary Neville: Mirror: 12/23/14

I think Spain’s by far the best league.

Na wa.
Pay me over 200k a week, I'll disown my birthday forever!!
Yaya's agent who broke this story should try another gimmick to get a pay-rise for Yaya.

This is a no-story, biko!

Agents like to stir up the pot but this is one is reaching some extremes.

Those who were rash and those who were not
Lost and made a spot of cash
He who gave the game away
May he Brynn in hell and rue the day

City might not make top 3 if this guy leave. He should go to PSG than racist Barca that is falling.Dani Alves is leaving ,Messi is not playing well and Xavi leg is gone.Barca is not the best place for him to return from what Pep did to him
