Paul Bassey confident of Eagles chances at the World Cup
Paul Bassey a seasoned football administrator and a member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Committee, has thrown his weight behind the Stephen Keshi led Super Eagles to do well at the Brazil 2014 World Cup.
The African Champions has never passed the second round stage of the World Cup but hope this time will be fifth time lucky as they are expected to qualify alongside Argentina from Group F that also includes Iran and Bosnia Herzegovina.
Bassey, who was recently appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) into a five-member committee to inspect facilities put in place by the six countries hoping to get the hosting rights for the 2019 and/or 2021 Africa Cup of Nations stated in a Chat with FCNaija at a function in Lagos that the Eagles has a team to do well at the World Cup.
