New info on Anizoba: Calling Enyimba/Nigerian League fans

Post by Paveman »

Sorry to repost this but I'm surprised no-one knows anything about this player. His name is Peter Anizoba Chizoba.

This lad is in Malta and currently playing for a First Division Team in Malta. I want to include his profile on www.nigerianplayers.com but so far I have learnt very little about him. Even the clubs (in Malta) with whom he plays for have precious little information on him. He is doing quite well though.

The information I have right now is that he has turned 19 this month (i.e. born Dec. 1984) and apparently formed part of the U/17 Nigerian national team at one point. (although he was apparently a squad player so he might not have any actual caps.) In Nigeria, he last played for Enyimba.

Can anyone shed some more light on him please???

Write Prettywonderfull directly....she is the ultimate scout when it comes to Enyimba. I'll call Aba this weekend and ask though.

Paveman, do you know if he was part of the Femi Opabunmi/David Brown Trinidad and Tobaggo U-17 team?

Is David Brown the same as Victor Brown?

I gleaned some more information on the lad. His year with Enyimba was in 2001. He was only 17 years old at the time so I guess he only played a small part.

His caps for the Se are all related to the African Chmpionships played in Seychelles in 2001. These include the qualifiers
(1) v. Liberia 1-0 (man of the match, 1 goal from a penalty)
(2) v. Senegal 3-0 (July 2000)
(3) v. Malawi 3--0 (July 2000) (1 goal/1assist)

At Seychelles itself (Feb/Mar 2001):
(1) Nigeria v. Ethiopia 4-1 (man of the match, 2 goals)
