The residents of Campinas not only want to see Cristiano Ronaldo. Nigeria, the other team besides Portugal in town to compete in the World Cup, has also attracted the attention of City fans. Tickets for the team's open workout, that the City has made available on their website, sold out in 5 minutes. 2,200 tickets were available in order of registration and each person can bring a guest. The open workout takes place on Friday at 16h, at the Estádio Brinco de Ouro.
In all, there were 4000 tickets available for the open workout for Nigeria. The other remaining 1,800 will be distributed among public school students, Guarani and members of the Nigerian Football Federation and FIFA.
Nigeria arrived in Brazil on Tuesday night and was met with a group of African dancers in Campinas. The bus carrying the team led by Manager Stephen Keshi arrived at Victory Hotel early on Wednesday. At 16h, the team will come out for their first workout on Brazilian soil, on the lawn of Estádio Brinco de Ouro.
